13mp 1080p rear camera with HDR, I don't have this model so wouldn't be able to tell you from personal experience.
Of course worth noting that this doesn't access band 20 4G, so wouldn't be able to access the 4g network used by o2 and gift gaff

Read somewhere that the site is China based. Mobile ships from china and we have to pay import duty.
Regardless of the, please read product page about chinese apps and need to download playstore.
Do your research before buying.

Yes,they ship from Hong Kong but no import duty to pay. I have ordered 20+ items, valued over 300 each and NEVER paid duty. Phone by itself is crap, Mediatek MT6797 chip is a joke. Look for Snapdragon if you wanna performance.

You only get hit for import if you have it (or anything else from over there) shipped by carrier (DHL ect). If you ship via post you'll be very unlucky to get charged as the seller lists the value as $20.

I order a lot of items from aliexpresss and have had the yellow custom sticker put on. Since the value has been low, i was never charged for it though.
Forgot to mention that the items came via post and not DHL

27 Dec 16#8
Given my aliexpresss experience, the fact that you did not have to pay customs is indeed surprising.
I guess you can risk it. How has your experience with return/customer service been? Do they pay return postage?
Rimi
27 Dec 16#9
Look, I have ordered many many items from China, and parcel values were £300+ but never has been charged duty in 14 years. I am not buying cheap mobiles as they are crap. Forget returns or warranty. But TBH never ever had problems with photo/video cameras and other equipment I have ordered.

27 Dec 161#10
Sure. I will take your word for it. However, would not take the risk.
Can you answer about returns and postage experience?
Rimi
27 Dec 16#11
As I said -forget returns. You can return, but postage is expensive and takes ages to get money back.
Packaging were perfect, better than local Amazon does.
steve1221
27 Dec 16#12
None of the sellers over they will cover the returns cost. You have pay for a tracked service. For a phone that can be around the £35 mark. It's one of the things you need to consider before you order from China.
My son and all his friends have Xiaomi's, and have never had any problems. But it would be wrong to say that people don't have issues and at that point it can get expensive!

No. Vendor is based in far East and makes a statement implying the buyer should contact EGC for reimbursement of any import fees: "...prices shown on this website are the final total you have to pay to have the order delivered to your door, without any hidden charges and customs delay....After 3 month of receiving the goods and clearing customs, eGlobal Central will not be held responsible for any custom related fees....". See Para 16 http://www.eglobalcentral.co.uk/terms-and-conditions.html

Dont really see the problem with the media Tek chip, at this price if I'm honest. but if you want more updates to Android base on MIUI, I've noticed they seem to offer snapdragon ones faster.
I use a Helio x10 Redmi note 2, and performance is fine for me, and miles faster than my old phone, mi2 snapdragon 800. (granted i had the mi2 for 3 years)

MediaTek have very little community support (outside of official). Which for some matters. If you don't care about that. SD gives better battery life.

I have the redmi note 3 pro and the note 4 and can say that the note 3 is just slightly faster than the note 4, but in terms of build quality the note 4 makes the note 3 feel like a toy phone. Seriously the note 4 has to be one of the best feeling phones I've ever used, full metallic body gives an extremely premium feel to it.

Redmi 4 pro a superior phone imo especially if you're going to risk importing it. Snapdragon 625, bigger battery.

The build quality on the Note 4 is vastly superior to the Note 3. Do people honestly care if apps open 0.1 seconds faster on one phone rather than the other?
If you want custom roms then of course go for the Note 3.

You are kidding me aren't you?
What does it have to do with what phone it was (it was more than one by the way) or indeed when it was, it was intentional and by design, so why on earth would you trust such a company now ?

I would like to buy one in grey with the black front, but most places I look seem to charge a premium for that colour, anyone know of one in grey / black for the same price of around 139.99

sd is better for battery I wouldnt argue with that, but the Redmi note 4 looks better as someone mentioned. I also think you can buy some Xiaomi stuff on AliExpress for cheaper than this price. I'm sure I saw the Redmi note 4 for just over £100, I might be wrong tho.

Yeah this does look better. Less plastic at the back. £100, it was probably the lesser model, 5" maybe?
christopheshort1
27 Dec 16#33
it was £115 for the 32gb one, on the featured brands in AliExpress app. mi5 for 165 which is amazing. I haven't looks at if they are the international versions tho so do please check.

I can't find a Mi5 for 165, but they can be had for not much more. I posted a deal for the global version a few weeks ago, but the price has risen now. If you want more performance, go Mi5, if you want bigger screen, go Redmi note 3/4. If I were buying a note, I'd go Redmi note 3 with a snapdragon CPU to be honest. I know the build is supposed to be better on the note 4, but I don't know of a Redmi note 4 with a snapdragon chipset, and I've never got on with Mediatek ones. Also, I'd avoid the seller in this post as they are China based but seem to give the impression they are UK based and I don't like people who do that. Plus, it is cheaper from Hong Kong Goldway on aliexpress.
