Oh? Can you elaborate a little I adore the ssx titles (yes the ps ones) just finishing the last of the "new" one. I feel I can just chill with ssx and not argue with controls etc. Not a huge fan of the skate series is it like that?

Cracking game.
The navigating the map is strange and not as easy as it should be but plays really nice and really is lots better than some people would have you believe.
If you like SSX 3 this is the closest we have had since that to an open world to explore with plenty to do.

Yes it's more like Skate (which I was a huge fan of) if are to compare in that way - definitely more sim than arcade. Despite its flaws, which it certainly has, I think it's an incredible game and can play it for hours on end, though I can also understand why others haven't got on with it.

Plenty copies of Steep including the special edition left in the Game stores I have been in today. It's at number 13 in their sales chart so it isn't going that well. On a more general note I wish people would not make these sweeping statements about everywhere being out of stock of a particular item when they can't confirm that.
