my new xbox one s picked it up straight away and after set up was watching tv on it. I plugged it in to the front port..
Biggest problem so far is understanding the xbox interface and where things are

True but you can watch tv while gaming with this and personally I tend to listen to podcasts while gaming so this is probably handy to people like me

my sons bedroom led tv only has a analogue receiver so doesn't receive anything now.
Seems it also does a lot more. it will stream tv around your home network ie to a tablet and allow you to record, pause tv etc.

no nothing is supplied you need your own splitter think they're around £2,3 on ebay

Do you need a signal booster with this or is there some pass through with it, so you can keep a TV plugged in to an aerial?
