I suspect it is more likely their plan all along. First sell it to the hardcore fans at a ridiculous price. Then when the hype dies down, unbundle it and make some more money selling to the people who only wanted MW but have bit of sense to wait.

Don't mind the hiding of personal info / order numbers - don't want them changing their mind before it's actually posted! The price I paid appears slightly less than you may recall - that's only because I had some old forgotten points to cash in. Good luck!

When you get EA come out and officially announce they will not release another Battlefield game for at least two years, it really drills in the milking that Activision is doing with this franchise. It's become so stale. Look at Battlefield 4, 3 year old game, still supported with updates and still busy servers on all platforms. Quality over quantity.
I think the real nail for this though was MWR. The community has called for it since the PS4/XB1 was released. They make it, but force IW on you at an inflated price. For once, the community says NO, and sales drop, whilst Battlefield 1 sales inflate. Effectively Activision pushing there core gamers over to the opposition. Active players were recently half that of BF1.
In short, own goal Activision, own goal.

If they keep shovelling this crap out then i really hope so haha. But i can't help but think Battlefield 1 will serve as a wake up call for Activision and they might actually start putting some thought into the new titles. I would love for them to go back to World War 2, just like the good old COD 2 days

It's a dull game at best and the multiplayer is just awful.
You would be pushed to tell if you were playing this or blops 3.
Next year they just need to release a cod greatest hits ala halo collection.
Have the game play of mw2 but with maps from each and every call of duty game.

That's a good idea. But you do realise if they ever did this, it would only be shipped with 16-20 maps. We'd have the privilege of paying £15.99 every three months for 4-5 more maps they have chosen to hold to ransom.
Still waiting to see how much is charged for the extra maps for MWR.

Why has this dropped so quick?
staticthreat0 to MrJinxy
6 Dec 161#8
Because the game itself has flopped and didn't meet everyones expectations of it selling stupid amounts. So many retailers have unsold stock who now, i assume just want to get rid.
Also i could be wrong but i think this was the worst selling COD to date.

There is some pure speculation that MW will be standalone after Xmas, so it will make this almost worthless, but at this price its hardly worth waiting to see.

Currently you need to buy the Legacy edition to play MW Remaster, it was essentially forcing the COD community to buy IW to play, I think they have felt the backlash and will soon buckle to the pressure. Then this might be a tenner, again, crystal ball time.
