Heat added.

I prefer the list rather than everyone cherry picking games that will garner heat.

It's not really cherry picking is it? I post the ones I think are deals.

The crazy thing is, these games ain't even cheap. Take a look at Shopto and especially Base. I picked up Dying Light and about 15 other games last couple of months, not one was more than £15. Most were around the £12 mark, games that are up in game 3 times more.

It's the flame deer competition. It's why I've not bothered with this site all week. Everyone is spamming up votes on anything resembling a half decent deal. It's unreliable.

Jesus this thread turned into a bloody school playground! For all the negative nellies, why even bother coming to the thread to just poke abuse at it? If you don't like it so be it, personally think there are a couple of decent deals to be had, but everyone has their own thoughts on what a deal is I suppose!

Now calm it everybody, at least the OP took the time to bloody post a full list!!!

I always prefer to see multiple deals in one thread whether done for heat or not tbh. if you think that it's just for heat fair enough but I personally think someone taking the time to put them together is always a time saver for the rest of us so I for one appreciate that time the OP has taken for the rest of the community.

Yea i think we have our wires crossed pal, i mean it's not cherry picking as i post what i think are deals. Some people may think other titles are good deals and i dont so i dont post them. 13 Dec 16 1 #92
What on earth are you talking about? I posted 2 deals that I thought had a significant enough price drop to be classed as a deal. Nobody votes based on who I am. I am not against these full lists but me taking time out of my life to post deals seems to offend you because I didn't post the full list? I don't think all the games are deals hence why I cherry picked the ones I thought were deals. Coming up to 5900 posts, I don't do anything to gain heat I do it to help people.

I'm pretty sure you know Deal of the Week or "Deals with Gold" is a weekly thing where a specific set of games/addons/etc are reduced for a single week. What it is doesn't really need explaining... it's not the same as a store like GAME having a sale. It makes sense to have the list of 5-10 items in a single thread rather than 10 separate threads by 4 or 5 different people depending on which of the sale items they like.

I'm not attacking you, I'm just saying... and it kinda sucks how people on this site seem to agree with or vote hot depending on the poster rather than the comment/deal. Again, not attacking you but if someone else posts something a specific user regularly posts there's always a bit of a backlash...

13 Dec 16 #86

thisthatandtheother
13 Dec 16 1 #85
They maybe mediocre deals to you, but to people whom don't have ages to scour endless threads it has been very helpful. I always know if a deal is good or not as I read the comments anyway and someone is always bound to say that such and such is cheaper elsewhere. This list has come in very handy and has ticked a few more off the list. IMO it's a lot better than having individual deals all over the place.
Bure11
13 Dec 16 2 #84
What you have to remember is this is a deals site so crap deals won't get posted and shouldn't go hot.

Every time someone makes a multithread and picks the best deals there has always been a link to the full set of deals for anyone to look at. Although I don't personally think posting every single good deal individually is the way to go, there's no need to post a whole list of mediocre deals.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ps4-batman-telltale-series-season-pass-12-59-more-description-ps-store-canada-2553160

This is an example of what I think a good sale thread should look like. The link went to a list of the full sale
oUkTuRkEyIII
13 Dec 16 1 #83
By your logic every game from the GAME website should have been listed with the Bioshock collection today. Everybody has a submit button on their pages to post deals so in future you please feel free to post what you want. I will always post what I think are deals.

Just to add I voted hot on this because it is good for people to know what is on offer but don't attack me because I choose to post them individually or anybody else. I got the Battlefront season pass at £12 because it was posted individually 8 hours before this.

13 Dec 16 #80
Does this include the 360 deals or am I gonna have to go through half a dozen threads before I get a full list?
JoeSpur
13 Dec 16 #79
It is cherry picking as they are ALL deal of the week.
Having a bunch of threads for specific games or threads that just list a few just sucks. Even the least popular title has sold a few copies, someone out there is ALWAYS waiting for someing to go on sale even if no one else is!
Bure11
13 Dec 16 1 #78

So if I get the season pass for SWbf, does that include the dlc?

I presume as the lad has got EA Access, I can sell his physical copy now?

Is there a way to hide or delay the installation of extra content?
Cos I bought him the Ark add-on Scorched Earth and it changed the Start screen of the game, had to tell him it's to do with the Turkey event currently ongoing. Lol

13 Dec 16 #63
I don't blame you going for physical it will always he cheaper with resell value as well but there is something about loading a game without messing around with discs I like. . the bf deal I don't know about that but I was referring to the Witcher deal(and other deals) which only lasted a week before changing.
BiblioDoc

The Battlefront pass wasn't on offer last week. I looked at the weekend and it was showing at £24.99. Did anyone get this at £12?

13 Dec 16 #61
Does anyone know the cheapest deal for a gold membership? I usually buy it for my nephew for Christmas but prices seem to have hiked???
littlejimmy
13 Dec 16 #60
I seem to remember the rest of the Witcher related content staying the same, just that bundle going up. I obviously assumed it was all under the same time frame. I got the complete edition from Tesco for a mere £19 anyway, when (eventually!!) I finish it and trade it in, it will end up a better deal anyway. Seems I snoozed and didn't lose after all on that occasion.

Are you saying that this BF Season pass had the same 'clearly stated' count down then?
webvamsi666

Just info: how do we know when these deals are going to expire and new deals date?
The reason i am asking is i have 14 days gold trail, if i know the end date i could have save on next date list.

Is this weekly?
Also if i buy any games and my Gold expired i still own that game right? yes looks stupid question lol but im new to Gold.

Thanks.
Wilsh88
13 Dec 16 1 #58
Its basically £19.58, 1 months of EA Access and season pass i dont think is a bad price tbh. Maybe that might still lure you
joshtbh

i'm not really. Just ever so slightly miffed. I wasn't even rushing to buy it at £12, it's the lure of something that got away
Wilsh88
13 Dec 16 #56
Unfortunately they make enough money not to care about who buys it and who doesn't.
I get where your coming from, but i just dont think its enough of something to worry about.
joshtbh
13 Dec 16 #55
true but it's a bit like the Next sale, you can almost predict what the reduction is likely to be in future by this. Like in the Next sale they write a thinly disguised code of what the price is going to be in the sale. That means some people (like me) may not now buy
Wilsh88
13 Dec 16 #54
because theres no mention of it by major nelson and they only just reduced it the other week.
Everyone makes mistakes.
pfagan10
13 Dec 16 1 #53
Agreed Littlejimmy. I was in the same boat - about to purchase The Witcher when it randomly went up in price. They should hold off putting sales up if they haven't finalised what their reductions will be. Just leaves people irritated that the didn't get as much of a deal as they could have. Personally I wont be buying this either.
joshtbh

BigDaveH
13 Dec 16 #37
Flamedeer?
Maverick_TF
13 Dec 16 #36
To everyone who is complaining about Battlefront Season pass jumping up in price, its not down to them randomly hiking it up, it was on sale for a week before today so its just gone back to a normal price!

Xbox Store has had some random sales going on for most of December so this is the reason, nothing to do with them thinking "oh, this is selling well, let's charge more"

Keep an eye on Xbox-store-checker, yes the prices are for purchasing from foreign regions but the Deals With Gold list is kept up to date with the latest items on sale and a lot of stuff has been on there for a couple of weeks now

littlejimmy to lucifon
13 Dec 16 1 #28
You know what, I've only had a XB1 since October, this is twice they've done this. Happened with the Witcher 3, it magically went up by about 4 quid when they thought hmmm this is selling well let's just add a few quid.

Getting real sick of this sort of crap, decide on a price and stick with it. I won't be getting it knowing it was cheaper earlier on, that's for sure.
GamesFan83 to lucifon
13 Dec 16 #31
You're not alone my friend. I'm in the exact same position. I know it's still cheaper than full price but knowing this means I feel like I'm still being ripped off slightly. Just a personal feeling and I've still voted hot for the thread (I personally like having a the deals in one place!).
littlejimmy
13 Dec 16 1 #30
One other thing, I feel even 12 quid is steep for this season pass crap. In a couple of years Battlefront 2 will be out and they'll be thinking about shutting off the servers for the first one. I'm reluctant to buy any sort of digital addon for a game which will be dropped quicker than a sack of crap soon enough.
Silhouette
13 Dec 16 3 #27
How does that list of gash go hot? Awful games by the most part and awful discounts (Dying Light 250% the price of physical). Madness.
lucifon to Silhouette
13 Dec 16 #29
Dying Light is notably cheaper in different regions. I mean just in the US alone it's £29.99 here vs $23.99 there. God knows why, one of the worst examples I've seen of different region pricing on the Xbox store to date.
