They have the gold membership in stock, but the £5 has no code yet and is listed as a preorder in your accounts' games and software section.

The gears of war omen skin is poor. There's a red tip and the white omen is obscured by the shotgun shells. I was disappointed as it looks nearly identical to the standard skin.

Well, I've just been chatting with Amazon. There is a problem with this item, that is why the £5 is not being delivered.
The Amazon rep said their team were looking into the problem, but they credited my Amazon account with a £5 gift voucher.
I guess I could buy a £5 Xbox Live gift card if I wanted one.

I can't see how this is good. I got a Live subscription about a month ago for £25. CDKeys has it for around £30 odd most of the time. So your paying £5 more then average for a £5 Xbox credit?

Been using CDKeys for Live subs for around 6 years however they've not been under £35 for well over a year. They're currently £35.99 at the moment.
You could get 12 months for £25 in the various sales however these are over now and for most of the year you'll do really well to get it under £33. Shame as I was getting them for under £20 a few years ago on Keys.

Not any more my friend, I think those days of getting it for sub £30 are gone. Last time I bought one from CDKeys about 14 months ago it was £20.99 now you can get it cheaper than about £33. Not sure why all of a sudden its got so expensive, probably some rubbish about brexit no doubt.

the £5 voucher doesn't come through. spoke to a rep at amazon and they say it's an issue and to contact Microsoft (i tried Microsoft but they said speak to amazon). i persisted with amazon saying it shouldn't be on the site if they know it's an issue and eventually i got a £5 gift voucher applied to my account.

Well spoke to Amazon and they fobbed me off saying it's Microsoft issue and contact them when I know the contract is between Amazon and myself.
Amazon just said not our problem and ended chat :disappointed:
So speaking to Microsoft right now...

And the outcome: Contact Amazon!
From Microsoft: Thanks for the information. Looking at the description on the link that you provided. It's says "1. Xbox LIVE 12 Month Gold Membership [Xbox Live Online Code] (Xbox 360/One)
2. £5 FREE Credit [Xbox Live Online Code] "
That means you should get 2 codes each from the promo.
So back to Amazon!

Brexit will increase price. Mostly it's due to the fact people are now used to paying subscriptions for everything, it's what all industries have been trying to force for over a decade now. things will only get worse this next decade, as both quality and quantity suffer, forcing users to have not just many subscriptions from various providers, just to have a fraction of what was once a considered a basic service.
This is done by taking both the rights and control of a user away, and slowly cutting service, whilst simultaneously increasing prices
