Saw this bargain price for the Win10 professional, it's an OEM version. If anyone is looking to upgrade? It's not bad value from what Microsoft want for the operating system.

Always curious that these dodgy deals that are based in a shed in China or a bedroom in Bosnia never get pulled yet other VAT and Tax paying UK companies are banned from having deals posted. I can't imagine why this could possibly be happening but clearly just slips through the net..........

OEM version? For real? Unlikely...

Indeed. This is most likely a volume licence key being sold against the rules (EULA) so Microsoft will most likely revoke it at some future point.
It is basically the same as bootlegging Windows (except for not having to install any potentially dodgy bootloaders which could be rootkits).
About the only thing which might work for these is what was pointed out in previous threads: get one of these dodgy keys for Win7/8 and use it to upgrade to Win10 so that Microsoft give you a new key. Then the new key Microsoft give you *might* not get revoked. Or at least that is the opinion, but you'd think it would be trivial for Microsoft to associate the old key to the new one and revoke both!

You can still upgrade for free! Just use the Windows 10 Accessibility Ugrade!
If you don't have any windows you can also download & install Windows 7, use that well known loader (keeps whites white than white?) & it will install a genuine key, then upgrade using the accessibility upgrade & you'll have a free legit windows 10.
Of course I'm not suggesting anyone should do anything so nefarious...

Microsoft revokes them in waves and you'll know about it when it happens as the internet will be lit up with people complaining about their keys not working anymore, happened with windows vista, 7, 8 and there's no reason why it won't happen with 10.

Definitely a VLK, and not OEM. One or two may end up with genuine keys but a lot won't.
Loads of these were acquired and sold on various sites. A lot end up being revoked leaving you with no valid copy of windows!

£12.25 for Windows 10???
That's nowhere near enough. They would have to pay me at least £200 to use it!

Can someone suggest a legitimate, cost effective way to purchase windows 10? Home or Pro, I don't mind.

Pay the typical price of £75 Is probably the answer and even that is OEM which could be argued is not right unless you're a system builder. So retail it is then at £120 or whatever they charge now.
You can see the appeal of £12 Windows keys.

Have a hunt around for old copies of Win 7 and 8. I found this today in Sainsbury's. The upgrade version was £5 dearer for some reason. You can still upgrade to Win 10 from it for free if you "use" assisted technologies.

Well if people are happy to accept their key may be revoked that's fine by me but I just want a computer that works and not have any potential licencing issues later on. Just keeping Windows working reliably can be a chore without the added bonus of using a potentially dodgy licence key that could stop working

using 2 keys from this fishy "seller", one activated as digital entitlement, other as regular product key, neither has been revoked (using them over 2 months now). Take from it what you want, just putting it out here to balance out the doomsayer comments.

you know what else doesn't get revoked? using an activator to bypass needing a valid key entirely.
if you're gonna activate Windows illegally anyway, why bother paying £12.25 to do so?
