to sign up to netflix brazil or to use netflix brazil? i can only get foreign netflix with private server now. but to sign up could probably jist use hola for free and then uninstall?

Just for signing up. I think Brazil pays the least £££ per month for Netflix.
I refuse to use Hola + my current VPN subscription is about to expire.

I wouldn't use any of these VPN's. Not only do they not come close to the features this service provides, but I know of a couple of the services provider owners*... I wouldn't trust them. (*HackForums)

Would you share, please?

So you save a couple of quid per year by paying 5 years in advance. Also limited to 5 devices.

What speeds to people get? I used to get around 90mb download on LimeVPN a year ago using Speedtest.net so I decided to buy a year... 6 months later they decided to screw up their own systems, half servers would not connect, torrents were blocked and speed decreased to 20mb.

You might want to check the reviews of some of those VPNs before buying, quite a few lack features and/or have bad reviews.

Subscribed with Windscribe the other day. Didn't notice any slow down in speeds but I'm in the early days of a new contract.

Thanks for sharing. Not a bad deal for PureVPN, though I wouldn't use them again, personally, as I had problems with OpenVPN not connecting a lot of the time... They are also a very sketchy company. 1 2

The Windscribe deal still works out cheaper.

Any advice on a router that can cope with 100mb of vpn traffic? I can max out my line using a desktop client but want my whole house protected, flashed my old mynet750 with openwrt but using that as the vpn client gets me about 15mb at best :disappointed:

Beware using a whole house VPN as you loose access to British TV catchup as you can only be in one country at a time.

interesting. i flashed an old netgear router on torguard and got 2mb vs 90 on virgin direct! think it might be to do with the encryption? if they have a setting to turn it off/minimal might be best. i only wanted to spoof netflix us for the ex wife's tv as dns doesn't work anymore. on a pc it's fine to just use torguard software

VPN etc are so confusing, I've used unotelly in the past to get us netflix etc...
Do these vpn etc perform in similar fashion?

If by US sport, you mean NBC sports or other US based content, i use BlackVPN, not well know, but i get the fastest speeds to a US server than other VPN, no slow downs, my Sky broadband is 17mb, i get inbetween 16-17mb with the VPN.

Also they do monthly instead of 12 months contract, although its cheaper to do 12 months.,$5 a month

If anyone has a better VPN for my needs i will be happy to try it

I was going to use a UK server anyway, just want to obscure my browsing (or rather anyone else that uses my WiFi). Now the gov are saving your history I don't want their browsing attached to mine, as it's rather hard to then disprove later.

Currently using Windscribe, subscribed to the Free 50Gb per month free lifetime subcription as posted on Hotukdeals a couple of days ago. not noticed any slow down as yet, seems to work well for FREE, when it breaks I will ditch it!

Apparantly Netflicks, Amazon etc, block some VPN servers (block the company) as they know what its being used for to get around the country of use terms.
I just wanted a VPN

Not at home so can't check, but I suspect it's directly related to the cpu / ram in the router. A pc has much more grunt, be interesting to test on a desktop running a speed test, and check the cpu usage both with the vpn and without.

Currently use PIA which seems to do the job well, is speed such a concern for vpn users? I would look into the data retention policies and encryption used as well as the number of nodes available to connect to.

Also for Netflix apparently they blacklist vpn ip addresses, blocking access to other geo locations. To get around I'm guessing you would need a dedicated vpn ip address?

i rent a dedicated server woth torguard. it is a US server so only netflix us works. gone are the days i could try brazil and canada and netherlands and japan for different shows!
