Make your own Peach and Blood Orange Cider in 48 hours with Victor's Drinks. This naturally cloudy, non-carbonated cider is easy to make: simply add the yeast, then the water, wait 48 hours and voila - you've just created 20 pints of smooth, cloudy, intense cider! How'd you like them apples?
I made the Pale Ale version of this, took more like a week before it was 'ready' at which point it was only slightly more alcoholic than drinking the water I originally put in... save the tenner in my opinion and buy some diamond white.

I personally don't drink cider, more of a beer drinker, but thought for a tenner it would be fun to try and wont break the bank, and it could come in handy over the festive period.

Don't get me wrong, as a bit of fun t's probably good for a gift to someone who has no real interest in home brewing or it may even pique their interest to go onto better options as suggested.

Hey peeps, if you want to make some cheap cider, buy 5L apple juice and 5L Water (£6). pour the water down the drain and fill the container with the apple juice. Put a spoonful of yeast into the container and put the lid on (but not tight!!!!) Leave for 2 weeks and then siphon into sterilised bottles with 1/2 tsp sugar (use baby steriliser or similar). Leave another 2 weeks and then fridge the bottles. After another 2 weeks you can drink.
In 6 weeks thank me for saving you £4 over the O/P and welcome to the world of home brewing.
(a specialised cider yeast will work far better btw.)
You can make this hooch from all sorts of things besides apple juice. White grape juice blended with peach etc works well.
Edit, you could also try the above as a 1L recipe but use less yeast. And I glossed over the comments without reading Bryan's first post which is similar to what I posted.

I did the cider version. After reading reviews left it for 10 days, foul, overly sweet. Do not waste your money.

if you're not prepared to put any effort into making cider then perhaps it's worth a go, but you can make either cider kits (with some initial outlay on equipment) or use cheap apple juice (buy 5l spring water and you can use the bottles as a demijohn) with a few simple additional ingredients. plenty info online, cheaper and better tasting but takes some time (don't expect good quality from anything that brews in 2 days)
