A bit of a noob question here... I've added these to my uPlay account, without any problems, but do they have to actually be installed before the 18th? Or can I install, uninstall and reinstall anytime I like in the future?

Is uplay free?

15 Dec 16#15
Yes. I mean, they have a store and everything for games, but sure, it costs nothing to make an account and use the client, just like Steam.

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon gets great reviews from most. Haven't played it yet myself.

15 Dec 16#19
Honestly, they're all great games, though some are more dated than others now. A lot of people didn't like AC3 as well, but I didn't mind it. But yeah, there's no real shovelware here, they were all reviewed fairly well I believe. Possibly The Crew had the most mixed reviews, but none said it was outright awful.

15 Dec 16#20
Obviously it depends what kind of games you enjoy, but in my opinion none of them are bad games. Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is really good fun and, from what I remember (it's been well over ten years since I last played it) PoP: Sands of Time is a great game too.

15 Dec 16#32
You do know this isn't through Steam? You need to download uPlay, which is sort of like Ubisoft's own version of Steam. People used to hate it (many probably still do...), but personally I've never had a problem with it.

15 Dec 16#33
thanks Matt101101 - my bad for not explaining properly
being *old* my games always came on disk (floppy, then CD then DVD) - if you want I could find a copy of Lemming for PC somewhere in the house, and a few more "classics" - so never really got why folks download stuff and not get a "real" version. Loads of folks I know rave about Steam but it passed me by, the Ubisoft thing looks really interesting/useful though, esp as they give us a bunch of stuff to get started - all for free

One of the hater of Ubisoft, why? how long is a string? Cannot believe the short memory of the Pc community, after the debacle of 300 giveaway and the subsequent backlash, they come up with this gimmick, and we are supposed to be grateful? Give me a break.

Maybe if they also start giving us non-Ubisoft games...
Can't speak to personal tastes but pretty much all of them are worth playing. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Splinter Cell and Beyond Good and Evil are all excellent classics and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a lot of fun.
But what's 'real' though? After all, video games are just digital information, that (since the CD era) has mostly been stored on hard drive anyway, so why not have instant access to every game you own, being able to download/install them quickly (if you have fast internet) with a couple of clicks via an interface that manages your library, connects you to your friends and the wider community and is also a storefront, without ever having to hunt for the right disc? There's only really two reasons you might want a physical copy of a game and that's either a) resale value, if you're planning on reselling a game, which is a moot point with most PC games these days as they need to be activated on Steam and so have no resale value, or b) it's a really nice edition, and most games are just DVDs in a standard DVD case so that only really goes for collector's editions. I'm 'old' too (my first video games were on cassette tape) but I embraced Steam as soon as my internet connection was good enough to make it worthwhile.
Wow, now you've got 7000 games to get through!
Liberation HD (a PS3, 360 and PC game) is a re-release of Liberation (a PS Vita game). It is not Assassin's Creed III, it is a separate, spin-off game, hence the subtitle.

No requirement to install GOG Galaxy to play the core of any GOG games. I think it's only required for multiplayer parts of some games. The whole point of GOG is you don't need anything installed or connected to play.
