You honestly think everyone who owns this is over 16. :smirk: I remember seeing a boy who looked all of about 12 in Game and his mum was buying GTA - the cashier did mention it's an 18 rated game - all she said was "oh he'll be alright". Legally of course the cashier was helpless, but you see what I'm getting at. :disappointed:

Well legally the cashier could have ended up in real hot water, if the customer had a underage child with them and the made it absolutely clear(which in this case seems the case) that she they were buying the product for the underage child she legally should have refused the sale, if that had been trading standards doing a test purchase the least the cashier could have expected would be a large fine!!

On my first play though of this game and no idea what the fuss is about in the reviews. Impressive graphically but the game play is very boring and repetitive.

I wanted to sell my unopened U4 that i got with the black friday offer. GAME offered me 5 quid for it, because so many people sold their copies as well. and Cex across the street refused to even bid for it, as they had 18 copies in store. LOL I better play it then :smile:
To be fair, the GAME clerk told me to hold on to it for a while till the buzz dies off. then they would prob raise their 5 quid offer...

Spend a little bit more and get Rise of the Tomb Raider instead. Way better game.

How though? He was literally selling an 18 rated game to an adult - which is perfectly legal. Doesn't really matter what the woman said. I mean, it's not like it was an adult buying fags or booze for a child - that DEFINITELY is illegal. But I would love to be wrong because then I can intervene next time I see it happen.

(oh its not legal btw, i tried buying san adreas from blockbuster when i was 16, got turned down, brought my mum in, declined, had to send my dad in on his own! might of been gamestation which was part of blockbuster at the time) - imagine if there was some weird bloke in there saying that couldnt happen - would of been very strange! which i guess would of been you?

I had some game points with QUIDCO it's around £16 so why not. Still really disappointed they did this before last of us 2.

What is the difference between a 16 rated game, or fags as booze as you put it, they are all age related products for a reason, so the same rules apply!!

​it doesnt matter. they had a personal issue with your family. it doesnt matter what intentions your mum had. the law is based around the transaction between the salesperson and the customer. if your mum was over 18 thats all there is too it. its upto the guardian to decide whether the child can play.

there is a difference in laws actually. ratings for entertainment and drugs are very different​
