I thought that! But having ordered 2 I received one yesterday then another DHL dispatch email today for the other... not the most economical!

When I ordered via ECP site you must leave a contact email and/or phone number. I tried several of codes from HUKD and some were still working yesterday.
First order did take 7 days due to volume of this order, second order came next day!!
I recieved on both orders an email and txt alert from DHL advising delivery on day of delivery. No time slot i,m afraid so had to wait in most of day. Joked with courier how they could charge so low for delivery.
But for the price including P&P certainly can,t complain :smiley:
Items arrived very well packaged.5L bottles screw top were sealed, bottles were in sealed bags, geo air packaging and reciept.
See some people saying bottles were leaking??
Must been thrown about quite badly for that to happen. Only niggle was that bottle were lying on side and not standing up, but they were in sealed bags also, packaging but could have moved during transit.?
Mine were all sealed at lids, had to unscrew child proof lid and pierce foil cover on spout in order to pour.

I ordered 5 bottles of the apple stuff on the 1st jan and no sign yet, I also ordered 2 bottles of the berry on the 4th and they arrived this morning. no order to how they dispatch...

I ordered on 1st Jan. Had tracking info from DHL this morning so it has taken a few days but it's on its way. I would suspect delays due to volume of orders and they are just working through them. I would also imagine their customer service team is over run at the moment with requests for updates. I'm awaiting 2 separate orders (1 item each) so not sure if this is both or just one but for such low value items ordered by so many I will just wait and see

Regular tap water can become contaminated and cause mould. That's what I normally use and a few weeks back my washer jets almost stopped working. After a bit of looking around on internet, I put a garden hose in the water bottle and flushed it out. Was surprised how much black mould stuff came out. Cars 5 year old.
Must have done the trick, as jets are now working as normal.

I don't think so,If the drain below your screen or the ones under the wipers etc are blocked water could get in. But lack of use in cold weather is more likely. I use a £0.69 DEHUMIDIFIER from poundstretcher all winter to keep the car dry and mould free.

Nice deal , ordered a couple with some oil and some latex gloves , saved 20 quid on the whole order , happy days and have some heat :smiley:

It normally comes in through the air vents so you get a nice fragrance in the car, especially if you have the fan going.

I'm using the berry one from Halfords trust me it gives such good fragrance to the car when you use it. So hoping now v get Apple fragrance :smiley:

That's my experience too. And the opposite if they are replacing something they got wrong - showing item available on website over a long period during which they told me they couldn't replace because it was "out of stock". Ignored my email asking why showing on website as available when telling me "not available" to replace my wrongly sent and broken items :confused:

Brilliant - I have just reserved some screen wash at Halfords luckily I didnt have to pay until I collect. Wont bother now as Ive ordered two of these for the price of one at Halfords without leaving the house - great deal !! :-)

I put about half a litre in and it seemingly had mostly disappeared within three weeks... Thing is I've only put 2l in myself personally since September but I can't imagine there was an awful lot in there when I purchased it back in May. Can't really test the theory of "there just wasn't enough" until I get some more mind :laughing:

Can't find any for my car on the vw website, only thing I found is information about adblue. They have other accessories etc available but surprisingly no adblue price on the site, well not that I can see. I remember when I went to the branch for a service, the prices were very expensive. Even looking at the site now at other things, it doesn't look like they have changed at all.

My diesel vectra lost about a cup of coolent every 6 months.
I found it was the expansion bottle design, It had an overflow pipe at the back to drain when hot.
Never dripped onto the floor.
I only found it when I noticed the bottle rim was sticky.

I'm well aware. I've actually been attempting to figure out where it is. Thing is, coolant levels drop but no puddles under the car. Not even a dribble of damp. And I looked daily for weeks having done both short and long journeys regularly, running the engine for a bit to see if anything leaks out. Total mystery - but the point stands it has to be going somewhere.
I've had a poke about but couldn't see anything which was a pain. I've got the week off so reckon I'll poke about some more.
While my car knowledge is rubbish I did consider that - however other than coolant loss I've no other symptoms, exhausts fine, engine doesn't misfire, doesn't overheat even during my hour and a half drive 2/3 times a week, oils fine etc.

Lidl stuff was £4.99 if I remember right and also suitable for spray jets , wonder if this stuff is ?

Terrible company to trade with. Fine if your order arrives correct and intact but don't expect "Customer Service" as you know it if anything goes wrong. When 2 of my orders arrived "wrong items" (all of them) and broken, I had a trail of 12 contradictory emails - in the end I was forced to accept a refund which isn't helpful if you've bought at a bargain price. One "agent" had offered to replace immediately (which I accepted), but that was followed by another email telling me I had to send the incorrect and broken items back first. I'd already had to wait in for 2 days to receive the first 2 incorrect and broken orders (courier inputted that I wasn't in the first time, when I never left the delivery address) and I would have to wait in another (two?) days for uplift of said broken incorrect items. Not worth the hassle.:man:

Found confirmation emails - Had gone straight to Spam.

Used to be £4.99 for 5 litres. It worked down to - 60º C neat so you could dilute it 50:50 and still work much better than most premixed screen washes.

They sell the cheap stuff that I would never use on my car but also premium brands that car manufacturers use to build cars like Bosch, Brembo, Delphi and Bilstein etc.

Maybe if you bought the better quality stuff it would last longer?

Awful company, I've been in the factoring business for 20 years and ECP are just a horrid piece of work, they have zero customer service, most of the garages we deal with in our town won't do business with them as they are known to play hardball with everything, for example when a garage sends a part back you would expect to do a credit to their monthly/weekly etc account, but ECP don't, its their policy to not credit accounts until the customer has chased it over and over, crazy. They appear to have cheap prices but they import a lot of their own stuff and very often its substandard, another example is their LUK clutches, in the UK we don't use remanufactured clutches like alters/starters/brake calipers etc, but in Europe its common place to use reman clutches and LUK sell such abroad, but here they only sell brand new clutches and thus the price to factors is much higher, what ECP do is import LUK clutches from Europe at the much cheaper price, nothing wrong with that but selling them off as brand new UK spec clutches is not on. You can get a picture of how the company operates by now i'm sure, and as for how they treat the staff, well that's another story altogether.

In this industry they are the equivalent of say McDonalds or Burger King, you pay cheap and get cheap.

And don't anyone pop up saying they sell Pajid braking so must be quality etc, ECP bought the name only and make the brakes themselves, certainly they are nowhere near the quality of brands like TRW or Apec, but again you get what you pay for really.

Yes, as said in post 106 you need to be careful. They sell some utter rubbish. The pricing is tricky, they sell some service items way below cost but then ramp up the price of others to try and get the cost back, you need to check everything carefully and it's normally cheaper to buy things like oil, air and pollen filters separately via one of the many "aliases" they use on Ebay. Screenwash from them should be OK but it's not unknown for different brands of screenwash to react with one another or with age to go lumpy - if it does that and blocks your washer jets then that is a bad day !

This time of year i use Halfords -10 Concentrate Screenwash 5L - Berry @ £4.99.
Most years they do it at half price in december but not this year.
Smells like ribena when used.

Thanks to brexit the prices just keep coming down. Just need houses prices do drop now so I can jump on the housing ladder. Being part of Europe never benefited me, they opened the borders which pushed house prices and rents out of my reach and my employer took advantage of cheap labour and cut my working hours and overtime.

Rubbish quality parts if they get the order right and delivery sloppy
My main problem is I was replacing sub standard parts in under a year so tend not to use them , cheapest isn't the best when it comes to car parts

I had that issue with another brand of screenwash before, Had to remove the pump and clean it out.
The best option is to run it out then use half a pint of fresh water to flush the system then use the new brand of screenwash.
I just go a new peugeot 5008 that sprays out a fine mist of screenwash, So was concerned about viscosity of halfords and lidl screenwash.I have tested the halfords -10 and - 20 screenwash and lidls -60 all work fine.
I have been using halfords screenwash for 5+ years with no issues, Lidls for longer.

Found this comment from mark_trev on HUKD 4 years ago.(HUKD).." I thought I would mention that it does give different dilution ratios depending on the weather conditions 1:4 1:1 and 1:0 (100%). Therefore can cope with winter, but still no actual temperatures stated. Though usually the 25% mix is about -5 the 50% is -15 and 100% is -25 (all degrees C). But this is only from experience when bottles have stated temperatures and concentrate mix."

I prefer whiskey, but this is a good alternative

Ordered before as great value. Only downside for me was that they insist on a delivery signature upon receipt so would not leave it in my safe place. No store near me. Seems overkill for a item worth a few quid. Perhaps they only do this for new customers.

Went for the -15 one as some of us live in slightly harsher condition! Heat added! Why the apple scent tho? I've never had a car drive past me and think, that car smells lovely:P

I was still using up the -60 lidl screen this summer @ 150ml to 5 litres of deionised water good to -1.8 ish.
