As title - £24.99 shipped for a 128GB branded uSD card seems as good as you get right now.

These are great for big file read/writes such as video recording but terrible for small file use such as installing most phone apps on it.

where's your reference for this, as any I found on the net were comparing the U1 version. this is the U3.

Helpful thank you

Just been reading the various threads on here for weeks now and that's the consensus. There's benchmark images around that show the slow 4k performance and it's the U3 one i'm referring too as well.

I've also seen poor performance for what I want to use this for, which is using an iflash in a ipod classic :disappointed:

I have been using the 64GB size version of this microSD card (both U1 and U3) on the Raspberry Pi (Retropie & Kodi) without problems.
Good reliable cards if you ask me.

I have also been using this (128GB version) with a Raspberry Pi 3 and I must say it's noticibly slower than the Samsung Evo (64GB version) that I was using before it, without any benchmarking... It's not unusuable by any means though, and it will suit most people's needs. If I were to choose a recommendation I would go with Samsung Evo, but these are apparently better than SanDisk cards in the same range.

using with no trouble in my Samsung Tab S, tried it as both portable and app storage and it's worked great.

Also depends on the tech you use it with....

So that would make this card class 10 in such an instance?

Regarding speeds and compatibility, would this be a good option for a Sony Walkman mp3 portable player? I guess I would consider a 64gb if a good deal comes up

Does anyone have any experience with 7dayshop for purchases over £18 (import cap)? When I went to purchase this 'orange' item it said "Orange items are dispatched outside EU. VAT not applicable. Delivery inclusive (3-5 days)" - not sure what that means? Since their warehouse for this item is in Guernsey, and no VAT has been added, am I going to have to give someone a Royal Mail customs charge notice for Christmas instead of a micro sd card?

There's a 5% off code being mailed to their mailing list which is valid until 20/12 which drops this down nicely to £23.74.
Don't know if I can post it on here.

No way would I buy any microsd card from 7 day shop.
You have no idea where they source it from and there are a lot of counterfeit cards around.
Also don't like dealing with any company that don't even publish their address or details of their business.

Are you covered by the Sale of Goods Act and other England & Wales consumer protection laws or are Guernsey governed by their own legal jurisdiction?

I'm not an expert (and certainly not on England and Wales law - being a Scot), but my understanding is that Guernsey has its own legal jurisdiction. I view it as being similar to ordering stuff from the US or EU - similar protection and similar risks. For high value items, use a credit card for section 75 protection and for lower value, most banks facilitate a chargeback scheme so IMO, the risk is minimal.
