Tom Clancy's The Division is on online action-RPG set in an immersive and realistic urban open world. Everything starts on Black Friday, when a devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City and society starts to collapse into Chaos. You are humanity's last hope: a member of The Division, a unit of sleeper agents activated to save what remains.
I'm quite tempted, I was hoping game would have the LE back down to £12.99 before xmas, but that's looking pretty slim

why not get it preowned?
As far as I am aware everything is on disk so you don't miss any dlc bonuses.

Does this game actually live up to the hype?

i got it about a month ago. Only played it a bit. it becomes a little boring after a while because it seems repetitive. Bosses just last longer so it just means shoot them for longer. I recommend having a friend also buy this game as coop is probably better with someone you know.

I thoroughly enjoyed the single player campaign, it is a bit repetitive but as you run to different locations there is enough action to keep you interested. It's value at this price for the single player alone in my opinion.

I don't think there's that much hype to it really. It's a very boring, repetitive game.

There isn't much difference tbh, i.e. At grainger it's £15 PO

add the price of DLC to this. this game is pointless without it, as you would be behind everyone. don't know what's the current price of the season pass. seen it not long ago for about 25-27 quid.

Very good game. It has its problems, but definitely great value on sale. Well worth getting the season pass as the new Survival DLC just came out for PS4 today (out for XBOX/PC already) and it is superb, a proper hardcore scavenging mode that makes the game play like how I thought it was going to be originally.

Anyone with a PS4 Pro. This game just got a Pro patch today. I was personally hoping for a bump in FPS. But it looks like they have just added better graphic effects.

It's the main island up to Central Park.
I am expecting a sequel with the remaining city unlocked but that's just speculation on my part. The environment is massive but the internal locations for firefights are excellent.

What does that even mean? At least make an effort to diss it, it got massive amounts of hype, and yeah didn't live up, but this is a great deal for a lot of game vs price.

The menus are in native 4k. But they have added better lighting, shadows and more detail. Also runs at a rock solid 30FPS.

hmm the campaign mode can be played coop and iy is probably better as you can play with friends or just random people online. as you don't have ps plus, i dont know if you would enjoy single player only. the game is pretty repetitive and can get boring.

I like it for occasional single player action but it does suffer from being "samey" after a while. I am speaking from solo play perspective only.
Beautifully presented though and for that price, you can't really grumble. I paid the same a while back for 2nd hand from grainger.

Are you at a huge disadvantage for being a noob as you won't have all the best gear unlocked when playing multiplayer? I fancy this but don't fancy getting battered by all the hardcore gamers!

The MP zone, where you can 'optionally' get into PvP or keep playing it as PvE, is somewhere you only want to really enter in a squad. For your own safety. It can be an unforgiving environment! That's part of the fun though. It can be a tense, paranoid experience. You only start going in there once you've ranked up a bit in the main co-op campaign area though.
Like any game, different people buy it at different times and you wouldn't be the only lower-ranked player.

Very tempted, I bought it with the season pass but got bored. Apparently the game is much improved by the patches and the new survival mode sounds great.
The biggest shame for me was the lack of story in the game, it's all about weapon stats. Hopefully the new mode makes it better

Would this be awful playing co-op online with randomers?
I love co-op gaming like this (as close to Gears the ps4s offering up) but all my actual friends have outgrown gaming and do irresponsible activity such as raising children and so forth

It one or the better games to play with randoms. I jumped on a challenging underground mission last night with 3 guys all of us on mics and it went really well and they were a nice bunch, I also have some mates that still play it. I really like this game, I do have the season pass though so there is a bit more variety.
