I've got the steelbook edition still wrapped from them and I don't know if the steelbook is worth £15 to me.

Think this is an opening offer for the new store - probably just this weekend. Great price though.

The store clerk did say this was because of the new store. They had a few other offers I thought were very good for GAME, such as Dishonered 2 for £23

I'll wait until it's closer to £15 before I bite. Have a feeling it's not a very long game.

Good luck to anyone with that trophy seeing as trico is a retarded animal who doesn't do anything you want. Cute though.

That sounds like a very annoying game.
Apart from the price, I had the feeling this may be the case so have held off on buying it.

Doesn't Trico start to obey your orders as you progress through the game? Thought that was the expected behaviour.
There are a few games worth buying at release, multiplayer games where you need to keep up with the general community progress and some well-made games like Dragon Quest Builders this year. No regrets pre-ordering that.

like others say, it's store specific due to it being the stores opening weekend. Isn't that price in other stores.

No hate on the game I presume it's a very entertaining game but, full Triple A price for a 10 hour (PS3) game is outrageous they marketed it very well as there isn't any replay ability and I think that alone is core to buying games at full price. Heat for it being cheapest so far though.

Well, at least it isn't a AAA priced NES game - which is what Nintendo have been charging for pretty much all their cookie cutter franchise updates since forever.
I'm actually glad that the game is only 10-15 hours as it means I'll actually be able to finish it before another game comes along that warrants my attention.

It is almost pointless buying any game at release, 1 month down the line prices are always slashed by at least 1/3rd. Top this with many a feature needing patching in games including graphical glitches right down to save game data corruptions, why pay extra to be a glorified alpha tester.

No way I'd pay £49.99 for this game. Hot from me because £30 is the max I would pay and even then I am waiting for it to go to the bargain bin first especially after they took forever to release it.

I like the way you framed your argument, in that you couldn't come up with a plausible response, so had no choice but to come up with a one sentence retort.

I've just been in and can confirm The Last Guardian is £30. They also have Dishonored 2 for £23. It's a new store offer they have. I'd post photos but can't seem to do it on my phone! They're open until 10PM!
Edit: At home now - here's the photographic evidence:
