It effectively works out to be £5 more for approx 43% more rum compared to a 70cl bottle at the £18 offer price. The 70cl is £18-23 in supermarkets.
This price is the lowest I've seen it on Amazon (for regular price - Camel Camel Camel - and matches a previous Lightning deal a bit back). Amazon tends to have a good price on the 1L but it costs around £30 elsewhere for this size.
This is 1L bottle so works out to be a really decent deal compared to prices elsewhere (£2.30 per 100ml) vs the cheapest 70cl bottle (£18 at supermarkets = £2.57/100ml).

Sure, I'm with you on that, but it's a good saving all the same - it just so happens that Amazon already had a good price on it, whereas the 1L tends to cost around £30 elsewhere (and the RRP is higher). It's good value compared to the 70cl if you're in the market for it. Otherwise maybe save your pennies :smiley:

I've tended to shy away from spiced Rum as I've got older and stayed more on traditional dark rum. This is a cracking deal though.

Great product, but amazons lighting deals are getting misleading, as it doesn't show amazons "usual" price, so the savings are not as big as you think

Ok, so 0.7l was £19 in Aldi but this deal was for a 1 Litre for £23 which is really good value because for just £4 more you would get nearly half that 0.7l on top to make 1L (so £4 more not, say, £9.50 more - ie half of that 0.7l bottle's price). Very good value if you want it. By the way, you can get 0.7l elsewhere for £18.
