I hadn't realised it needed spelling out - my apologies for my overestimation. "The Game Awards" isn't a good title for a game awards event because it makes it indistinct from other game awards events, and also causes search engine confusion with anything else "game" that happened in 2016 (e.g. the Olympics). It's akin to releasing a game called "Game" - beyond the brain-blistering blandness lies the further, unending problem of indistinctiveness. Or perhaps you think that the games industry is so small and insignificant that a single, poorly-named awards event is enough?
As for receiving a discount on those games, we had the same - or better - discounts last week, and we'll get the same or better discounts again in about three weeks. Stick around the site for a bit and you'll learn all about games discounts. :man:

Award for the worst-named award ceremony in history goes to... "Game Awards 2016".
An appropriately lacklustre sale for such an event.

What is it about "The Game Awards" that offends you so? Is it the fact it uses he word "Game" when talking about games? Perhaps having the word "Award" is a little too on the nose? Maybe you just detest things that start with "The", like all those annoying indie bands.
I can understand your anger and frustration though. Game award ceremonies are not to be taken lightly and we should put more effort into our naming of them. And as for receiving a discount on some the best games from very small teams that have been released this year?! Don't get me started on that!

If it is anything near the horrendous Xmas sale from last year, I wouldn't get my hopes up.
