Can anyone recommend a decent steam controller profile for skyrim? There's loads through steam but since they've updated the client, it's a bit hit and miss which is popular. I've tried a few and they're a bit chunky. Before you ask, I am being lazy and don't want to set one up myself

The thing that the remaster is worth it for over this is the 64bit support. Which allows you to address more than 4GB of RAM, which means you can run more mods at once.

If you are are going to mod Skyrim, get this version - the modding scene is very mature and very comprehensive - probably the best collection of mods for any game, ever.
If you are going to play vanilla and not mod at all (can't imagine why you wouldn't mod), get the SE as it looks better and runs slightly smoother.

If you are going to heavily mod the game then get this as it has had years of work put into it by modders to create good stable mods plus there is loads of support available from those who have been modding it for years. I am still playing it over the Special Edition as I have made the game I want to play.
However if you aren't super into modding then go for the Special Edition as it is more stable, runs and looks better and is getting patches and updates.

Awesome thanks for that.

With the mass amounts of mods available for this title, there's every option that you can make this version visually more impressive than the Special Edition.
It's the same content, the SE just looks better. Have a Google mate, see what mod options you have available.

Thanks, is the special edition worth going for over this?

Anyone know if you still get a free upgrade to the special edition on steam? Thanks
