Don't be put off by the 4th Jan use by date, that's BS. The only thing that could go off that quick is the cheese - any time after that would be simply more "maturing" !

Also, don't have ale too cold, should really be served around 8-12 degrees :wink:

very good... cheese can be used quickly, even for a single person...esp in cold climes.. jacket pots, on-in pasta, melted on toast etc...
