Been looking for a stackable set for a while as limited space in kitchen. Seems a good deal.
The marketing shizz:
Bring a new way of cooking to your kitchen with Tefal’s revolutionary Ingenio range.

The frying pans include Tefal’s iconic Thermospot technology, which indicates when your pan has reached optimum cooking temperature.
Compatible with all hobs excluding induction, the set is dishwasher safe as well as being oven safe up to 260C. The handle has a 10-year guarantee, and the non-stick coasting has a lifetime guarantee against blistering and peeling.

exactly my problem with it too. been looking at these pans (not this set specifically), and hoping for a good deal. thought I hit the jackpot, till I seen all the frying pans. will keep looking
great deal for anyone this combination of pans suits though.
I had a jamie oliver 4 pan set like this (handle looks the same) and after a while the handle stated to go loose to the point where a pan with a lot in it ie boiling water could have fallen out and possibly cause a bad accident. Had to throw it all away

they are the same pans. I just want them for camping, so they wont be used all year round.

Being that these handles are detachable not really going to be the same issue here. Had these for 2 and a half years now. Used them for everyday use where we do lots of home cooking. They are fantastic in their build quality of the handles and the pans. Worth every penny.

Buy ceramic instead of toxic teflon

The jamie oliver one was detachable and clipped on and looks like the handle in the photo. Couldnt fault the pans if not washed in a dishwasher but when the handle went the pans were next to useless.

Well maybe the Jamie Oliver ones were different. Or they were marked up wrong as the only ones with detectable handles are ingenio, none have been made with Jamie Oliver. Regardless. Have washed the pans in the dishwasher no problems and had the handles for the same amount of time without any breaking. I think u more likely had a duff handle rather than anything. If the handle came loose. Why didn't u just buy a new one anyway?

This was a couple/few years ago and I dont think you could buy extra handle like you can now.

anyone got these pans? I was looking at these a few months ago and generally the reviews were not great

I think these items last longer if you hand rinse after using them. Dishwasher tablets i believe leech out the oils that are present in not stick coatings and i think that is what happened to some my set, the one we used often ended up going dull looking. These will last longer if you just clean them with a touch of soap and water. I know a lot of companies say can be cleaned in a dishwasher and I guess you can if you just add a bit of soap and dont use a tablet.

and yet you still think the Jamie oliver ones are different in some way.:laughing:

Because they are. Ingenio has never had anything to do with Jamie Oliver so if they were branded as them, they were completely different and not these ones as extra handles have always been available since launch. Nice try though.

never realised ingenio was a separate company from tefal. my mistake, sorry.

When I was making my comment at the top I was more pointing out the fact that the handle i had was a problem after a while and that might be a potential problem with these or any clip on manufacturer. I was not trying to imply they were the same. I know the jamie oliver ones had the red thing in the middle as well which the tefal set I had at the time also had which is why I made the connection.
I must admit i'm confused tefal and ingenio are in the title , tefal do a jamie oliver set on there website but jamie oliver has nothing to do with ingenio. but the connections there.
I said at the very start they were different. And nothing i have said was wrong, spare handles have been available since day 1 from ingenious being released. I get your point that you did have a set with jamie oliver, which were detachable and i was wrong on that part and hold my hands up - no need to start spouting about BS. However, hose handles are not the same as what is available now - and i get that you were just making a warning that it might be an issue. The JO set are clearly what was the precursor to what is now the Ingenio set, but i can attest that the Ingeio handles and pans are of excellent quality. Hopefully this is now all put to rest lol.

When people start stating "facts" that they have pulled out of air to other people like "the only ones with detectable handles are ingenio" and say it with total conviction and also dismissive of other peoples comments I have a proble, LOL
Who bloody cares your £15 handle from a older design not related to these at all went dodgy. If it was inside warranty get it replaced, if not buy another. Newsflash **** breaks sometimes I had a fixed handle on break once because the screw rusted through, I didn't moan like hell, I put the whole thing in the bin & bought a new one.
It's like saying I had a mk1 focus & the engine blew up (true story) so don't ever buy a 2016 Focus because the same might happen. It's completely pointless.
