Tefal GV6720 gets pretty good reviews. Lots of these Steam Generators seem to have inflated rrp's but the lowest I can find this item is with Tesco - £59 online (£62 in store). Noticed on another thread that Whammerhead had posted a code for Tesco Direct but it wasn't clear what discount this gave - tried it on my purchase and it gives 25% off all Steam Generator irons sold by Tesco (not partners). Brought the price down from £59.00 to £44.25 (click and collect). Code is TDX-HYTW and applies to all Steam Generator irons sold by Tesco (not partners).

Deal was posted nearly 3 days ago and was popular enough that they seem to have run out of stock of the Tefal items at the moment. Maybe the deal should be expired but the code is still valid though on all other Steam Generator irons - not just Tesco own-brand - they just have to be available with Tesco and not with a partner store. Your comment was 'stone cold as code didn't work for me' - the code works! This is a deals site where we help one another get a bargain - if you miss out on a particular deal because you're a day or two too late that's your problem but does not give you the right to criticise the original deal!

A bit late but no it doesn't. The Philips and Morphy Richards ones I tried before needed the cartridge replacing after 2 and 3 weeks respectively which is why I returned within 30 days to Amazon. This has a built in cleaner for hard water areas that just needs emptying.

This is a superb steam iron btw. Much much better than the overpriced Philips or Morphy Richards ones!
Only annoying part is the 3 minutes wait while the iron warms up. Feels much longer and if you turn it off and on, it's another 3 mins wait!
