Aldi have now reduced their Swedes to 19p nationally as there is a shortage of Little Gems which are on their Super 6 at the moment. They have done this as a replacement to them. They may be on the Super 6 fixture in your local or they may just be in their regular place. Once they're gone, they're gone!

The main difference between a swede and a turnip is the appearance of the vegetable. Turnips are white-fleshed, and swedes are yellow-fleshed.Swedes are slightly larger, rounder and firmer than turnips, and their leaves are smoother. ... Swedes are called rutabagas in America, as stated by BBC Good Food.
