Up for a bit of nostalgia (can we actually call it nostalgic, 2005?)
You may have been listening to The Gorillaz, Scissor Sisters, Eminem, Hanson, Brian McFadden with that Delta Goodrem bird. Or worse case scenario, Atomic Kitten.
When life robs Colton White of all that matters, the only thing left he can trust is his GUN. From award-winning developer, Neversoft, and accomplished screenwriter, Randall Jahnson (The Mask of Zorro, The Doors), GUN follows Colton on his quest for discovery as he seeks to exact vengeful justice on those who have wronged him. GUN is a realistic epic action/adventure that lets gamers experience the brutality of the lawless West.

I didn't realise Hanson made it beyond the 90's but it appears they're still going!

Yeah, I think 2005 was their second attempt. iirc they were much further in their time at around 15/16 years old. At the risk of insinuating their first run was memorable, I have to say their second wasn't.

I absolutely loved this game. Shame they never made a sequel :disappointed:

Heat, this was easily one of the best western games alongside stranger's wrath for a time and I think it laid the foundation for Red Dead Redemption in some ways.
PS, Hanson were in the video for Last Friday Night by Katy Perry, so they're still going.

Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive is pretty awesome too.
Edit: Before Redemption existed there was Revolver already.

I might have Desperados in my steam library along with another 100 games I haven't played still. I never played Revolver though I think it was an on rails shooter? Right, you've forced my hand now....
Mad Dog McCree, now that's an epic Western with epic acting to boot!!!

Desperados on Steam works flawlessly? Might have to get that one then.
Revolver was very much like Redemption's younger brother in that what they've done in Redemption was obviously improved whereas Revolver felt like a work-in-progress compared to it.
With Redemption 2 it's going to leave Revolver completely forgotten in the past as most people only remember Redemption.
RDR = Red Dead Revolver
RDR2 = Red Dead Redemption
RDR3 = Red Dead Redemption 2
The new RDR is RDR2 than RDR3.
Rockstar broke the tradition by not using a different r-word. Well, whatever.

I still haven't played Desperados yet, I think I got it from GOG but I usually add my games to Steam so that's probably why I said Steam library.
I'm looking forward to RDR3 though, RDR2 was and still is amazing.

You can play Revolver on PC with PCSX2 while on an actual console, it's better on the Original Xbox (too buggy on the 360).

One of my favourite games of all time, how fun were the dynamite arrows?
literally just:
*thuck* as the arrow penetrates
*Indian yelling as they try to attack you*

I managed to get Dark Cloud running on PCSX2 and it was very smooth, I kind of got sidetracked by Reicast though and ended up playing Silver and Evolution: World of the Sacred Device.

I mislead you I'm afraid. I've got Outlaws + A handful of missions from GOG, not Desperados.

Oh. Then you must play Desperados it's really quite something else.
I still have the CD of the game but I have to workaround it to make it work and that's a tad annoying.

I gotta say that Call of Juarez is a good game, Bound in Blood is a good Sequel but Gunslinger is a really great sequel to those 2 and a good Western FPS.
