PlayStation Now is for streaming PS3 games and isn't exactly the same as EA Access. I think Sony's stupid reasoning is because it's similar to PS+ but I get what you're trying to say
I really wish EA Access was on PlayStation also. As an Xbox user also, I'm always telling my PlayStation friends what good value it is.

I take it that's the same for Gold too then, I always get my annual one around Black Friday but did think if I couldn't get it at a decent price I'd use 40 quid of account balance but perhaps I wouldn't have been able to.

Extra hard drive space is essential with both consoles anyway. Just be thankful that you have have the option of having an external hard drive with the XB1.
WalkerboyUK to andyyak
7 Dec 16#51
At £20 per year it's still cheaper than going out and spending £40+ on a game, for which you will still need to clear space on your hard drive in order to install.
I've just had to go and buy a 2TB drive as I was down to just 63Gb left out of 1.5Tb
Chasloyal to andyyak
7 Dec 161#55
Why would you not get an external hard drive when games are so big nowadays anyway? Say like Halo 5 is over 90 GB by itself.
This is my current state of play with 44 games installed, there's another 34 sat in the ready to install folder/library/whatever you call it which would most like likely come close to maxing my storage out..
Bear in mind loads of those 44 are 360 titles on BC and a couple of ropey indie things from the Gold IGC, if they was all current gen AAA titles the 500GB internal and 2TB external would be nowhere near enough.

Yes but it then leaves you in the full cycle of all modes so you have to quit and select it again.
dizzer
7 Dec 16#52
Dlc is useless because you cant select mode/map to play. Death star looked great but was played about 5 times because for most modes it forces you to do space battles (which I and a lot of other players hate playing). They also constantly tinker with the modes. Heroes vs villains is now only the best of three matches rather than five which sucks because if the long game load times. Cargo used to be good until they shortened that mode as well. The game could have been brilliant, but EA have significantly reduced its potential because of the way they manage the content and modes.

Was looking at the season pass price, £36 ! Which is rediculous considering SWBF Ultimate Edition (game + all DLC) is selling for £27, is this currently on sale or something?
These prices are on the UK marketplace with the ea access discount applied.
UPDATE - ok for some reason the console marketplace has the season pass marked up at £37, but the marketplace on the official app has it at £22.49

Well it's a rental service, the same as EA Access. Sony's argument was that they don't believe that EA Access provides the value for money that PlayStation owners expect, and I quote...

EA access is one of the best things I own (well, subscribe to). Especially if you already own a bunch of EA games that are in the vault, trading them in will probably get you at least enough for a year or 2.
I used to have it split so other than exclusives I'd buy racing games for the Xbox and others for the PS4 (mainly because of forza) but now i find myself using the Xbox far more than the ps4
