Thanks, had a £5 sky voucher for getting the ice age movie free so only had to pay 99p for the film!

I got £5 voucher with the free copy of ice age promotion, spent £4.99 of that on the pixar shorts collection when on offer, got another £5 voucher with that and just used that on star wars and only spent 98p out of my own pocket and now have 3 movies in library.

Who wants DVD when they could be doing a Bluray offer for a few quid more? Imagine watching 4k content through Q, then slumming it with a 720 x 576 image on PAL DVD?

The download is HD

But the physical format isn't. It's not like Bluray players are still so expensive that they're pretty much confined to the living room for the majority of households, or that HD (or even 4K) TVs are generally only found as the primary TV in the house. I'm sure plenty of people out there would pay an extra few quid for the Bluray (which usually comes with a DVD copy anyway).

Cost would deter most... new releases on sky store are expensive, normally £14 for download/dvd
Sky are apparently looking providing bluray

Yes but when you leave Sky in the future, you will only have a DVD. No access to a HD copy. Also even if you download it onto your laptop from the store using their player, it downloads in SD.

You still have access to the download via the sky store even without subscription.

Does anyone have Sky Q? Can you watch the purchased film in UHD/4k if so??
