My horror story continues , contacted Yodel on Twitter and tracked down my package, said it was out for delivery and due to be delivered before 7pm so I stared outside the window until then and it didn't turn up, messages them on Twitter and they said a failed delivery attempt at 6:30 occured , they tracked down the driver and he was around the corner from me and didn't even attempt delivery to my house :confused:

Just received my email response back now which I will paste for you folks

So there is now about 9 of us all in the same boat , I'm puzzled by them saying the item coming from Chicago , if that was the case then maybe we should all receive it this week (doubt it) I would call them but no doubt the customer services team are not based here and it would probably cost , I'll see what they say in reply back to my slightly angry email which I should receive tomorrow , if that doesn't work I'll call and demand to speak to a manager as I want answers and we all deserve them

Hi I have just read these messages and my case is the same as you guys. I paid on 22/12 and was told 2nd or 3rd Jan estimated delivery. When I didn't get anything on 3rd I contacted them and they advised this has been shipped from Chicago and could take up to 10 days if you have not received by 21/1/2017 to contact them. I checked my account today and it now says estimate 06/02/2017. I have contacted them about this new date and no surprise they have not replied. This is totally not fair, they even told me before I ordered that they had stock. If anyone is reporting this I am happy to add my comments as this should not be aloud to happen.

Haven't received mine either, it's desperately obvious now that Zavvi have just lied about the whole thing - other reputable retailers are stating that supplies aren't delivering to them until mid January. I am appalled at Zavvi's behaviour though, this is basically fraudulent selling on their behalf as they've clearly listed and "sold" items they don't have any access to. I too have had their standard 30 day message and will wait the time stated. On that day though I'm ringing them up and demanding a full refund, and if I don't get it in that day I'll be calling the bank for a charge back. Meanwhile, I suggest you all harass their Twitter and other social media outlets. Kick up enough of a fuss and they might refund everyone early.

I complained to their twitter account that we had all had orders gone missing and it was now weird that our accounts state a feb delivery. They replied saying they can comfirm without doubt that my order had been shipped and is on the way. Just lie after lie it seems.

Just some Car plan just cheapest which was about £2.99 for the toothpaste size tube. I did use T-cut at first but it was colour enhancement stuff and started to add a yellowish tint. The car plan stuff has no colour advertises etc just neutral slightly off white grey.

Yep I went to the car spares in the end and buying some paint buffing compound ( little like toothpaste tube ). I spent about 45mins with a lint free cloth and buffed them all completely out and it's given the helmet a real deep glossy shine to it. It looks better than the factory buff in fairness.
I'd recommend buffing them out as it seems the packing on this helmet is the issue. They are wrapped in tissue paper thin plastic rather than foam sponge sheets or even bubble wrap , then slung in a box on top of each other.
Bad play really for something people are paying £100's for

Yep can confirm the scratch issue........ I had one from toysrus which was scratched to hell with a big moulding nipple on top.
The one I have from Argos has 2 smallish rub/scratches on top and a smaller nipple.
I have one still apparently coming from zavvi , so I'll check that one and which ever is best I'll keep and return the other.

I have mine fro Argos click and collect in like 4 days ( would have been sooner Xmas in the way ). I have to admit they look the dogs danglers however .... big however. They are scratched to high heavens, I counted at least 30 inch to two inch scratches and scuffs all over the thing. I resorted to grabbing the old T-cut and polishing them out but it looked awfully second hand.

avoid zavvi, thehutgroup, popinabox etc all under the umbrella of serious poor customer service, they have no contact number, no one will read the emails you send they simply copy paste and send in return, I've had half an order arrived broken and despite email after email their responses are just insulting and they still have all my money for half an order that I received the other half never left their warehouse.
they often sell products they don't even have stock of and if your very lucky you may get it months down the line if not like me you'll be waiting months for a reply or refund and so on, trust pilot reviews will echo my warning I used to shop regular at zavvi but got bit too many times and so yeah AVOID please.
TL:DR AVOID THEHUTGROUP They often sell products they have no stock of and lie in communications.

Curious - I managed to get one of these in the Amazon pre-order price glitch, the "voice changer" function doesn't work properly (press the button and all that happens is a brief burst of static) and I've only read one independent review, the reviewer had the same issue. I don't trust zavvi for obvious reasons SO I reserved one at argos (in 5 days anyway), ty bocors, I'll buy it too (30 day return policy) and either sell one if both turn up, or return one......this way I must get one surely!! :confused:
There is more to my story of woe too.........In between both zavvi fiasco's I managed to bag one on toysrus ebay..........
it arrived damaged, I had to send it back knowing full well I may never get one again - grrr!

they often sell products they don't even have stock of and if your very lucky you may get it months down the line if not like me you'll be waiting months for a reply or refund and so on, trust pilot reviews will echo my warning I used to shop regular at zavvi but got bit too many times and so yeah AVOID please.
TL:DR AVOID THEHUTGROUP They often sell products they have no stock of and lie in communications.
