Great price for a physical copy

I don't see physical as being a bonus here. It's not the kind of game you complete and sell; it's predominantly a multiplayer experience and arguably best enjoyed in occasional blasts.
But yes, good price if you're that way inclined. I picked it up for £5 on US PSN a couple of weekends back and really dig it.

I paid £15 for it the other week at Asda - annoyed because it had been a tenner for ages. Went in today and it's definitely back to £10. Even more annoyed now.

just ordered a copy thanks mate

Not really. There's a bit of difference between it being released at some indeterminate point in the future and it arriving as a "free" download in 9 hours.
I posted it as information for people who already have EA Access, and may not know it is being released tomorrow. For those with no intention of getting EA Access, it goes without saying this is a hot price.

Love the desperate last day rush to push physical copies. Heat, I'll wait till tomorrow

The point wasn't whether or not your information was accurate or timely. When nathan said "*insert generic EA Access rubbish*", he was referring to the fact that we've had several Battlefront posts over the past few days, and someone inevitably mentions EA Access as if it's brand new information.

The scoundrels!
In app purchases are optional, I play plenty of their games without making any purchases.
Can't comment on Xbox One user base but it seems to be going strong on PS4, so I doubt it's any different on Xbox and, as others have said, with it going to EA Access that's only going to help matters. At this price, if you prefer a physical copy, it's a bargain. Excellent game with a fair few weapons etc to unlock, only let down by no single player campaign (roll on number 2 for that!)

Yup in the last 24 hours there was almost 24 thousand people playing it on PS4 and 18 thousand on XB1. Can't say the same for PC with under 5 thousand.
Can get almost 3 months EA access for that... so good deal if you plan to play it longer and dont plan to play other EA games or have online access

The season pass has now gone down to £12 with deals with gold via the store.
Edit: maybe not, changed to just over £15 with ea access now... Sigh.
