Great price and I'm very tempted. If Sony had winter cash back on this I would definitely buy it.

Hot, all the manufacturers have made some ridiculous price increases this year.

Why would Sony do 14 pence cash back ?

The only camera I've ever kept longer than a year. Awesome bit of kit, well worth the money.
It'd be even better at £350 obvs :smirk:

IF you buy the E-50 1.8 with it you can have the lot for £574.00
I am sooooooo tempted! and sell my D90 and Lenses.

do you mean the 'bundled' one? if so id avaoid that as its the unstabilised full frame lens
you can get the asp-c stabilised version for 180 -20 cashback (john lewis) though iirc so 549 all together
edit: dont think you mean that as prices dont work

Depends on which lens(s) you are planning on getting? I have a Sony A7 which is great, but the lenses are pretty expensive.

Ugh. G7 or this. Decisions! Also guys, if you're looking at RX's I'd go for this mainly because of interchangeable lenses.

26 Dec 161#41
I have both, if 4K video is important to you then it's then get the G7. However in most other respects the A6000 outclasses the G7 even though the G7 is a great camera.

or you could buy it from Jlewis for 429 with a 2 year guarantee and knowing you can take it back to a shop if you want to return it or its faulty.

Does this have the same external flash connection as the next 7? Can I use the external flash that I use with my new 7 with the a6000?
brilly to i_raz
24 Dec 161#23
it can take external flash but afaik its a bit different to the nex7 one
think there is an adapter
flash is something i am unsure about so better research or hope someone else can chime in
the sigma should be able to take advantage of the phase detection of the a6000 which is absent from nex7 and may help
not having used either camera i am not sure, low light is always a problem though

I have a sigma 30mm F1.4 lens which is very slow to focus at night with my current nex 7. Will it focus much faster with the a6000? Thanks.

Paid £280 body only a year ago. Total bargain and a great camera. Fancy a 6500 but it's a grand and a half!

that was openbox/refurb/2nd hand though wasn't it?
Had one for almost a year now - but after getting A7RII using only for vlogging - it is all right, video is good. The only thing I don't like is body is plasticky and there is no level gauge feature in this camera! Thinking of dedicating and converting it to infrared..

Got it, it's a great camera, fast, intelligent, great lighting, lightweight. All lenses from canon or Nikon can be connected via an adapter. I changed from canon 5D and use my L-lenses with Sony. Great piece of kit. Paid £399 with 16-50mm at Jessops Gatwick airport.

I had a play with one of these cameras in Curry's It is a great camera but having to access the menu to change settings all the time is real pain in the ass and reminds my of the Sony F3 I owned.
