Looking for a new basicish (if thats a word) TV and came across this ... Seems good for branded but i am sure someone will put me right if I am wrong ... Fire away lol .. There is a soundbar offered too, not sure if its a decent one or price.

I bought this tv from JL with 5 years warranty
They should price match
However, In Black Friday sale I got a Sharp TV 49 same spec £199
Did a side by side compare and didn't find Sony worth the difference
Returned it for a full refund.
YouTube was lagging. If you fast forward a clip, it will take much longer time than Sharp to load
Premium priced Sony TVs never appealed to me.

Ok decided to go for this http://ao.com/product/43uh603v-lg-tv-black-44189-108.aspx with code of TENNEROFF reducing it to £359. Rang Richer sounds who agreed to price match at £359 with their 6 year guarantee so have just picked it up from them. Thanks for your comments and help!

I got one for £314 for my conservatory last time it was on sale. It's no frills, doesn't have 4k or smart functionality but a decent picture for the money. You can add a fire stick relatively cheaply to add smart functionality.
Are you buying new TV or just Sony brand name? Old 1080p TV. In this age of 4k and Hdr TVs, behold this old junk. In my opinion £349 down the drain but I know some people love to buy old rubbish.

A good 1080p TV looks way better than a cheap modern 4K "HDR" set

Except there are FHD sets that look better than 4K entry level models.
What if I told you that resolution isn't the only thing to give you a good image?

it's very very tempting after I bought sharp 49" for £199.... on black friday
Will this look better than the equivalent 4K tv at the same price?

Depends on a lot of things:
How far you will be sat away from it.
What you will be watching on it.
How often you decide you need a new TV.
Will you have it hooked up to a surround sound system.
Etc etc...

how much is your brother selling them now
I have this tv when you turn it on it doesn't say Sony in the middle of the screen, the light at the bottom of the screen is green and BBCi player doesn't show HD sign to click for HD, there is no internet browser on the tv, HD isn't that great I will say save the money unless you need something cheap for now

Equivelant sized 4K TV's in that budget are scarce, so your pretty limited to choice:

Might be worth asking some questins/looking at reviews to see how it handles sports.
Hope this helps!
