Also meant to be really good for probiotic intake and meant to have been streamed (?) so it's low in lactose for lactose intolerance.
Just going by what I read online. Recently read into probiotic intake.
Not yet tried the natural one. Had tried the Strawberry small pot was something could get used to.

Probiotic intake is not that relevant. Prebiotic intake and looking after the existing microbiome is far more important. You can intake billions of bacteria a day but once you defecate they're all gone and more. The human microbiome is poorly understood even after spending billions in research, it will take many decades to unravel how it works and which is a good combination of bacterial species. Don't believe the hype, prebiotics mean more in scientific studies than they do in reality. Even very powerful probiotics such as Elixir-Probiotic have limited real world effect and they are many times stronger than anything in this product.
If you must take a probiotic then take it in a natural form such as Kefir or other fermented foods. The end user the consumer mostly has little scientific knowledge so are easily swayed by buzz words such as probiotics.
Introducing prebiotics in the diet is cheap and effective at positively modifying the gut microbiome. Recently detrimental gut bacteria have been blamed for onset of Parkinson's disease and cited as a breakthrough. However much research is needed, as I stated earlier we have data that shows evidence of beneficial effect from certain microbial strains, but simply introducing them via supplementation, well there's not enough evidence yet. I would go for the tried and tested method of eating foods that are prebiotics and consuming some fermented foods although this is not strictly necessary. Experimental methods are supplementing Inulin, Binumo GOS and Potato Starch, very experimental method are fecal transplants which have evidence of effect, but as you can guess probably not that desirable for everyone :smiley:

i didn't enjoy the fruit ones AT ALL but the plain one is nice. I buy frozen blueberries and add a small handful. Amazing (after a few tries), much healthier than those muller lights or creamy premium style yoghurts.

Most probiotics don't survive pasteurisation and preservatives that commercial foods contain. Most don't survive the stomach acids either so eating probiotic foods is not very effective. Best strategy should be to stay healthy and avoid the use of antibiotics that GPs dish out for common colds and flu etc. Sauerkraut is another probiotic food but most commercially available varieties are pasteurised.

This stuff is bloody awful in my opinion. Would far rather have Greek yoghurt. Especially full fat Greek yoghurt. Difficult to get Fage 10% fat as they seem to now only do 5%. So I tend to just keep my eyes open for other 10%-ish fat Greek yoghurts. If I'm putting something in my tummy I at least want it to taste good.

Yawn. Is health hysteria still a thing? The biological equivalent of the umpteen ever changing flavours of 'climate' hysteria, which only ever seem to have the corroborable effect of making us more miserable and lightening our wallets?
Here's my tip... eat whichever yogurt you like, as part of a balanced diet and do some exercise.
I know stick thin healthy people who got diabetes, heart disease, dementia and piles... I know non-bingeing fat people who don't get sick with anything. It's all a crap shoot, and you take your chances. Be as sensible as you can. Being reckless can take 10 years off your life. Being happy can add 10 years to your life. Being miserable and stressed about counting every gram or calorie can take it off again...

Silliest thing I ever heard, after a wife spent years hysterically removing sugar and all kinds of goodies from her husband's diet, when he still got diabetes anyway which was explained as having arisen from him eating too few calories too infrequently throughout the day, was that the doctor said 'avoid diet foods that make you think they're 'safe'... eat a bit of whatever it is that you want, and do exercise and be sensible.'
This yogurt belongs on the rank and foul list, unless you actually enjoy it.
