Can't remember seeing this below £40 before now. Limited regions (Europe (inc. UK), Middle East, Africa). Also reduced at Greenmangaming but £38.57.

The question is what you you expect from the game and your skill level. If you played immortal or Deity on Civ 4 you may not find much challenge from the Ai on Civ 6. However the game play could still be a lot of fun in places.
I have friends who played Civ 4 immortal very efficiently. They were completing Civ 6 deity games on week 1 of release. Stealing AI settlers etc. Also using early warfare with archers which tended to overrun the AI. Also using barbs to give their early units experience to make taking out the AI easier.
The Ai need a lot of help here. Won't happen over night.

I can wait. Been playing Starcraft II again lately, and might even give Age of Mythology a spin again.

For sure, I did the same with that and CIV 5 too. Don't let me put you off though, I guess you know what to expect , and it's still a great game. But yeah, CIV always drops within a year, by which point the game is fixed and worth it. If you can wait to save £15+ then that's cool.

Cool, ta. Shall avoid then. Made the mistake of buying Beyond Earth early, been a bit burned by that one...

Any good people? I love the series, but wondering if it's £34 worth of good...

The funny this is...that it will be worth £34+ in the future, when everything is fixed - at which point it will be like £10.
But right now, it's probably worth £10.
In my opinion.

Civ 6 is still in surgery and bullet yet to be removed. Civ 6 will improve as more patches arrive. January is next one if they stick to usual time frames for patches. Expansion should resolve many issues but not yet announced.

Yes, it's good. Different dynamics and the diplomacy needs a tweak or two but I haven't gone back to Civ 5 (or 4, for the matter) since getting this on release. There's a new set of learnings, particularly with city building and districts - overlapping city limits can be beneficial.

Dunno why but I just cannot seem to get into it, I think I prefer CIV 5's look and how the map is always viewable after exploration. Gonna give it a try again this weekend, I know its a better game and maybe with time it will click.

The Aztec race will be unlocked for all players 90 days after launch: http://www.idigitaltimes.com/civilization-6-pre-order-bonus-montezuma-leads-aztecs-luxury-and-military-glory-546773
There might be another minor patch then, though having said that, I've not had any crashes since day one of launch, playing on huge maps with all civs, though a couple of minor bugs that didn't affect gameplay. Really enjoying it but planning cities with diverse districts is a new challenge.

I agree- I thought the vanilla version of Civ IV was actually very good, and the expansions just made it even better.
I'm going to wait before I buy Civ VI as I got seriously burnt purchasing Civ V on day 1. There were huge numbers of bugs and issues so I basically stop playing the game after just a few weeks until the expansions came out. The game is great now but my faith in Firaxis took a big knock- i'm going to wait for the complete editions from now on!

Well people can make their own minds up. I never had any real issues with Civ 4. Personally I will be waiting for the patch/expansion pack for Civ 6. If you want the Aztec race you need to buy that seperately unless you buy the deluxe edition. I think there is a smaller addition where you can buy this.

This game is riddled with bugs/ game issues. Worth reading reviews before buying. It's had a recent patch but the AI simply don't know how to win the game or how to protect their unescorted settlers. That with their inability to upgrade units. Next patch will likely be January.
The basics are there for a good game but it was released with a huge amount of bugs and error. A lot of these are still to be fixed properly. Worth looking at the civfanatics website to get a taste of the issues. I am sticking with Civ 4 for now.

Yeah, I think every CIV since IV has been unplayable at launch until at least the first patch or expansion.
IV - which still is, and probably always will be the best CIV ever, was downright awful at launch. Only after Beyond the Sword came out for was it complete. Now look at it, with all the mods and everything. Amazing.

You don't need to live outside the UK, I think most people on here use Revolut to make purchases in foreign currencies.
It's not the only option though, the Halifax Clarity credit card doesn't charge fees for foreign currency transactions and I use a Capital One credit card (though you can't sign up for it any more, so unless you already have one that's not much use to you).

Think this is the lowest it has been, although you could technically get it cheaper when they had the 25% quidco offer on.
Quite like this game although I think I prefer Civ 5. Not too keen on the districts system.
