Make sure you check the conditions, a lot of the parks have extra service charges and then also charge for entertainment passes. In some parks this doubles the cost.

Thanks

The first code will be printed in tomorrows local newspapers. Breakfree do however run a similar promotion in the Daily Mail the codes for that are listed in the link below.
I tried booking Butlin's Bognor Regis, it is showing me accommodation type as "Comfort Caravan". But I don't think Butlins has got any caravan unless Comfort Caravan means something else. Has anyone got any input?

Butlins Bognor definitely does NOT have any caravans, ive been there about 20 times. I think the Skegness & Minehead ones do though.

I avoid Butlins and Pontins sites, Parkdean are the best of the bunch IMO I never had bad accommodation in over 30 bookings with them

Mine was a disaster in the caravan I booked in Devon last year. They put us in the smallest oldest caravan that shouldn't even been in use. Was awful, just be careful when booking as they throw you the accommodation dregs

The first code will be printed in today's local newspapers. Breakfree do however run a similar promotion in the Daily Mail (Link to that promotion) the codes for that are listed in the link below.
I've seen people commenting about how bad the accommodation is etc! I actually used this last year for butlins we paid £46 for mon-fri for silver accommodation and when we got there we had been upgraded to gold with daily house keeping and that was inclusive of all the events swimming etc can't be robbed!!

The first code will be printed in today's local newspapers. Breakfree do however run a similar promotion in the Daily Mail (Daily Mail Hols link) the codes for that are listed in the link below. It's includes the same UK accommodation at the same prices as this offer, plus European holidays.
Hi does anyone have the passwords to the local paper holidays through breakfree? There are 6. Thanks
bitm2007 to Sadesking

That promotion only started today. Why do you need the codes for it when you can already book the same holidays, at the same prices, form the same Breakfree website using the Daily Mail codes (above) ?

Have always previously booked on the breakfree/local website (after the daily mail deal) options for Hendra at Newquay include not just the basic 'comfort' Caravan but also the upgrade to comfort plus at £15 and deluxe at £18. These options not available on Daily mail booking. Also even now on first day of deal most weekend availability for Bank hol and peak dates seem to have been snapped up at Parkdean sites (Ruda especially) Does anyone know if there will be more availability when next deal starts (non- daily mail) ?

Does anyone have Wednesdays and Thursdays passwords? Thanks so much for today's muffinman84. Unfortunately where I lives they don't print the codes in any of the local papers. I'm using the local papers deal instead of the dailymail because it's cheaper for the dates I want. I've been booking this deal for the last 3 years now and it's a totally bargin. My family always have a great time. Thanks in advance

Are you aware that information pages on the Daily Mail booking website state that unit prices are either £15 or £20 (depending on the time of year), but when you do a holiday search prices start £5 cheaper (£10 or £15) like the local newspaper offer ?
sineadb20051
6 Jan 17#32
Thanks bitm2007, I wasn't aware of that. I've just checked the dates for 28 April (3 nights) in Ireland and it's coming up as £15. Where as the local papers states it's £10 so I'll just wait and hopfuly get the codes. But thanks again

I hope you get what you are looking for, Ballycastle looks like a great base for exploring the Causeway Coast. I've been tempted in the past, but have been put off by the cost of the ferry.
sineadb20051
6 Jan 17#34
I only live 40 minutes from Ballycastle. So having 3 young kids it's perfect not having to travel to far and no cost of the Ferry. I would highly recomend it though. It's a lovely little seaside village and loads to see especially if your a Game of Thrones fan.

The passwords are for the £10 local newspaper holidays (see link below which includes a list of the newspapers taking part). One password is printed in the participating newspaper daily (excluding Sunday), you need to collect 6.
It requires different code words to the £15.00 Daily Mail holiday promotion.

Anyone interested in 4 nights in Butlins Minehead for up to 6 on 12th June? i booked in haste and now realise I can't go. That's the only issue with these you can't change dates or get a refund. only £75 all in nothing else needed to be paid

Has anyone ever booked two of these back to back; i.e. a four day break followed by a 3 day break at the same park? If so, do you have to check-out and then check-in again, or do they let you stay in the same accommodation throughout? Thanks
bitm2007 to _Gilly_
9 Jan 17#49
Yes I've stayed a week on several occasions. Ask the park to combine the bookings when you pay the service and entertainment pass charges. If they want a payment for this, I decline then ask reception to do it at the park when I check in. It's worked very time and i've never been charged.

Everyone will be up at midnight to get the Sun deal when that goes live, but in many ways this deal via Breakfree is better:-
Advantages with Breakfree:-
- Booking is open now, so much better chance of getting the dates / parks you want
- The Breakfree site is so much easier to search for availability
- Some accommodation grades are actually cheaper via Breakfree compared to the Sun (e.g. Comfort Extra Wide is £1.50 pp cheaper on Breakfree)
- Possibility of getting Topcashback on Breakfree (I've certainly been paid out before on these deals)
Disadvantages of Breakfree:-
- Most accommodation grades are 50p pp more expensive than the Sun
- Booking fee is slightly more (£3.00 vs £2.70)
I've booked loads of hols via similar newspaper promotions via Breakfree and never had any problems, booked many where I have combined breaks to make a week too. Book now before all the Sun readers nab the park's availability at the weekend I say!

10 Jan 17#51
The slightly higher holiday costs in these deals are more than outweighed by the fact that you can beat the masses by booking earlier than Sun readers IMO, but not all holidays in that deal are in this. The Sun has late August school holiday dates (Aug 25 and 28th) and more holiday parks 330 (including 187 UK) compared to 171 (all in the UK) in this deal.

has anyone booked causeway coast through this? It shows as caravan but I've booked through sun holidays before and although it states caravan also, the accommodation has been in the apartments or chalets. I was wondering if this is the same or am I going to actually be stuck in a caravan? lol
sineadb20051 to fosterdog
10 Jan 17#57
You will be allocated an apartment with the option to upgrade to a caravan. So it must be the same as the sun deal. The apartments are spot on
booked a holiday using the codes, being told that the entertainment passes (which on my email from Breakfree state OPTIONAL) are infact NOT optional, but I can decline them (?) - and that I will NOT be able to access any entertainment (obviously) but no access to Bar/ Restaurant/ On site Shop/ Outdoor play area either, if these are not purchased. Seems extreme!! I have declined the passes for one of my bookings as it is a short stay, but if someone can clarify if your passes are needed for the play area, shop etc - for any site, I would be very grateful.

Not sure if it works like this at all parks, but certainly for Haven and Park resorts, it works like this....
The entertainment passes will automatically be added to your booking, but then when you get the invoice from the park operator you can simply drop them a line and ask for them to be removed.
On arrival at the park, they will probably try to flog you some passes but again you can decline.
Without passes you can certainly get access to most facilities - Pub, Shop, Play area etc - Obviously you can't access the pools or show-bar, but everything else should be fine.
What you will probably find is that in the evenings they will have somebody checking passes at the entrance to the show-bar. Sometimes due to the layout of the entertainment complex, the person checking passes might be at the entrance to the complex (where the arcade machines are etc). Though from my experience if you explain that you don't have passes and simply want to get to the arcade machines / pub etc, they'll just let you in.
A couple of times with Haven I've had the passes removed, but they have still included them anyway for free!
To be honest if you're worried it's not really an issue as you can have them removed from the booking, but then when you get to the park if you find something you can't access, you can always pop to reception and they will sell you some entertainment passes.
bitm2007
11 Jan 17#61
This pretty much sum's up my experiences of cancelling the entertainment passes on over 40 of these holiday's.
I've never been denied access to the shop or the children's play area, but there are some parks where the only bar and restaurant are in the same open plan room as the stage, then it's off limit's unless you pay for the passes. Most park's however are more than happy for you to spend your money at the bar and in the restaurants (it's where they make their money out of these deals), so including entertainment passes even if you haven't paid for them is in their interest.
