Recently bought momentum over ear m2 from Amazon for £138 . Brilliant headphones. £175 refurbished still not a bad price considering they retail for £199.

Your better off without it. I wanted one of RS series headphones for so long that I finally got one a week ago but was let down. The sound quality is amazing, was very impressed but it is very uncomfortable to wear for longer than 10 minutes or so. The reason being is that there is a gap in the middle of the headband where the wireless charging chip sits, there is padding on each side of the headband but they dont help as the wireless chip digs down into the head and sometimes even catches your hair. I found this was cause it was a tight fit. Maybe I've got a big head? lol dunno but this is what I experienced. I also read some reviews that mentioned it too even though most of the reviews are positive on it.
First time I have been let down by sennheiser but I havent given up, I instead have ordered up the HD 558 wired ones. Hopefully these are better.

These prices for refurbs arent great considering I just bought a brand new pair of HD 558 from amazon for £59 using the link on the deal that was posted here the other day or so.

Yeah that 558 price is superb value, but like I said some of the deal prices are better than others, the 558 price is probably the worst of the deals, the others are all pretty good tbh

It would be worth adding 'Refurbished' to the title. Might save a bit of time for anyone not too keen on refurb. In-ear refurb phones anyone ? eew

Seeing that they are 8 you might as well go for the Sony MDRZX310 at just over a tenner on amazon, reviews are good on them and keyboard, a cheap logitech one if you just want a normal keyboard

Hello all, I have recently got into quality headphones and frankly speaking after the day lecture from friend had Te return the £25 Amazon cheap headphones I always enjoyed. The other day I tried sennheiser 558 richer sounds for £60 and TBH first time with open back. Was blown away with sound can anyone suggest similar good ones from the range above and also possibly explain what is refurbished in this case.

Well the only open back models included are the HD 5xx series,I think refurbished could be ex demo or something with new pads fitted, but not sure.
There are so many quality open backed headphones around,I would try out a few more before deciding on a pair for yourself.

Yes, open backed headphones truly are a game-changer. The 598's are the only other headphones on the list that would be open-backed and better than the 558's. But it's not a major difference at all, so probably not worth the money. If I were you, I'd try and find a store to that demonstrates high end headphones and test out different brands to see what they offer. Grado's, for instance, offer a fairly different tonal characteristic. Other than that, the only real step up from what you have would be something along the lines of the 650's, which gets into the quite pricey territory of things.
