Seiki SE60FO01UK 60" Smart TV - Black using code GET30
I've been hunting for a new 4k TV and came across this, it's not 4K but for the size and specs it seems a bargain... seems to have decent reviews too.
I checked and i can see it was posted a few weeks ago but the code has expired so using the new code brings the price from £399 down to £369.

Mine arrived today. Great TV. Underestimated the size and where the legs are so now need a TV stand! Although it's big enough to stay on the floor!

Thinking about something like this for mother in law. What is it like for non HD programmes, will it look awful?

Guess it would depend on viewing distance?? In one of the reviews I read it did say non HD was a bit grainy up close

I suspect its 8w total, I tried a 55" around a month ago and ended up using a pair of Altec Lansing USB powered speakers the sound was that bad.

Not really, its something different in my opinion - a change from traditional flat-panel TV's that all seem to look the same. The point I was trying to make above was that the curve doesn't alter the image to the point where it would make someone ill.
The curve adds to the overall immersive effect, at times making the image look 3D and also improving the 3D effect when its used. Also, with the curve comes a deeper chassis meaning manufacturers can add a decent set of speakers.
We have a Samsung UE65H8000 mounted on a Techlink Echo EC130TVB Stand (it uses a wall mount) and all cabling is hidden from view - on our Samsung the input section is located more towards the centre on the back, it's also recessed with ample room to tuck cabling away. Not really an issue in my opinion.

Wierd how the pictures on ao.com from the sides and back are just an empty case without screws. Is that all you get?
8W sound output (hopefully per channel) is quite low for such a large set. Mine is 10W per channel and much smaller. I know speaker efficiency can make a difference but I suspect here its just lower volume. You'll need a soundbar for a larger room.
Seiki are a chinese state owned manufacturer headquartered in the USA and I think their tv's might have local assembly in the UK possibly wales.

Isn't that self defeating then ?
Another reason I didnt get a curved screen is that mine is wall mounted and if its curving away from the wall at either end and not hiding all the stuff hanging out of the rear then its pointless. The only advantage of a curved screen (that I can see) is if it was stand mounted on a corner unit (or cantilever wall bracket) and sitting diagonally across the corner of a room. IMHO

Great price for a 60" and seems to have good reviews!

Price reflects quality with these type of brands. Spend a few quid more and get a 5 or 6 Yr warranty and much better TV at Richer Sounds or John Lewis. Not going to vote it down but buyer beware.

I guess it's personal preference but I tried my mates and unless your front room is set up just right its not as versatile as a flat one....i certainly don't think they're the future, thinner tvs with better viewing angles are...

Currently sat in front of a 65" curved TV, we've had a curved TV in our living room for over three years now and i cant say its ever made me feel sick or anything like that - the curve is so slight that you barely notice it.
As for this Seiki, you cant knock the bang for buck factor but I'd rather have a Hisense any day over a Seiki. The build quality is exceptional on our 58" K730.

There's pros and cons to both and I think it really depends on the person, here's a good list of pros and cons.
Hmm I think it's your personal experience same like some people feel sick after 3D or VR

Makes me feel sick as the curved line against a flat wall and a flat image make my eyes work hard. Pickles my brain lol

What negatives exactly?

Wouldn't bother with a curve no advantages just negatives...not how tv meant to be viewed!

Don't know why cold. Super cheap for plenty of acres. I'm sure quality will be in-line for something at this price point

Folk are maybe unsure of the brand but the reviews do seem favorable and 60" for the price is a bargain. Hot or cold isn't important, as long as it helps someone out looking for a new TV, that's the main thing

Don't worry. Once those who know a bit about TVs start voting, the heat shall return!

I've been looking at the hisense 4k curved 55" for £469 using the same code. I would say that its a better buy but for a little less inches.. I'm sure it's been posted on here.
