What's the point of a mattress topper? Is it a way of delaying having to buy a decent mattress?

a lot cheaper than having to buy a decent mattress....

It can be used to protect your decent mattress, it is always cheaper to replace the topper than your main mattress.

We bought a decent mattress from Hypnos which was great but adding a good mattress topper has made it even more comfortable. Don't think it extends the life of the mattress and is not the answer if you already have a poor mattress.

Does anyone recommend this with Silentnight Stratus Premier 1850 Pocket Natural Mattress please? Any advise is appreciated.

Good deal. I just picked up the single size, hopefully it's light enough to take on road trips as I find most hotel beds (Premier Inn etc.) too hard.

I do think it's proved for long-term consideration a firmer mattress keeps healthier and stronger spine. Anyway save me some money not needing a mattress topper

Will this be soft or firm? I've got a new 12" med/firm memory foam mattress which I'd prefer to be firmer.

WHOO HOO! I took a chance on the super king after the king sold out and I'm really happy. its arrived today and I've fitted it and my king size sheet went on too. It has elastic straps on the corners which hold it in place. My mattress is memory so maybe it's easier to squeeze it into the sheet.
