Nearly 4 hours in and still not 43 people complaining how there's no stock within 47.5 miles of Lower Piddle-On-The-Burn? Nor 124 people complaining about how crap Seagate are and how you might as well back up your data using a slate stylus and a plasticine tablet? And no one asking if you can take it apart and put it in a PS4?
What on earth is this forum coming to?

In case anyone is wondering, no you can't as it's a 3.5 inch drive not a 2.5 inch one.

Nice price if you can get one. I got 2 of the 2tb £44 Argos drives a few weeks ago, so I have plenty of storage got now.

Suspect they don't need a power supply unlike this one. I'd sooner have those you bought. Guessing much of the heat is from people thinking it's the other type.

Looks like they've "relisted" it under a different product code (higher price)
Original code was 094702 but now it's 146178 @ £139.99
Well done to all that got the deal
And thanks for the heat
Avoid Seagate if you can, they are really unreliable, I have had 3 of the 3TB died over the past 6 months, last month I got a new 4TB from PCW, and this died after a week, and according to info, the 3TB had huge problems with failure rate over 30% when on average they should be around 4%. If you value your data, stay clear.
Mine have always been OK. Then I am not using it for extended professional use.
What brands are good for home use?

Hhmm......i've had a Seagate 2TB working perfectly for almost three years now. Never had any problem with that at all.

Seagate invented this model hard drive to fail every time within 6 months but only for people with an id meltof
or put it another way
You will find amongst the vast population of the planet some Seagate haters, some WD haters and some Toshiba haters and some (insert any other brand here) haters. I know, I know fact is fact and it hurts

The cheapest 4tb Seagate now listed on their website is £109.99
