I didn't have a say in this ridiculous purchase. I've just asked the other half if he had a look on Ae.com before buying from Argos and apparently the tv didn't exist on their site yesterday lol. He isn't as savvy as me.

The tv is now on the wall. I have just had a look at the receipt and it states refunds on unused items.

where is the code "GET40" from? is it advertise on their ao site/page openly to view for everyone?
I want John Lewis or other known retailers to price match this... (anyone think it would work?)
I don't trust ao.com (their after sales customer service is the worse)
thanks for all your replies

Other half wouldn't as fears the worst. I've emailed argos to ask if they will price match. No harm in asking.

1.1% Quidco for all sales when a voucher is used. Every little helps.
Might break the living room T.V, put mine in there and replace with this. Wife couldn't say 'you don't need a new TV' then
Different panels.
Direct LED & edge.

Can somebody tell me if this tv is better than Hisense H55M6600 Curved Tv. I have ordered the Hisense from ao but the delivery is scheduled for after boxing day so incase something better comes through in this time I can cancel/change the order. I know Hisense are the newcomers in the UK market but if there wasn't a massive difference in price in the first place I would have gone with a more popular brand (curved or not, doesn't matter too much).
P.s I paid £469 for that Tv + another £26 off should be coming my way as the price has dropped since. So £443 all in. Is this Samsung worth the extra £66.
Thanks

Samsung is better. I had the 6020 which was better than the m3300 which are about the same

No. A ~20 ms input lag is basically at the top of the ladder
Have you had a look at the settings? - samsung settings have been known to add upto 100!!! Ms of input lag
For reference
The best pc gaming monitors are about 10 ms
My friends ben q is 10 ms
1080p 140 hz
Anything under 35 is great
Anything under 20 is good enough for competitive gaming
Anything under 10 is good enough for counter strike at 144 fps

If you've bought this, ooooooops.
Samsung UE55KU6500 just reduced £300 at John Lewis to £649, with 5 Year Guarauntee!
Different league to the Ku6000, these are very poor spec in comparison.
If you go to currys and look at them side by side it will blow your brains, you. Might as well buy a 55"normal led than
this, awful picture quality.

Just turn off Auto Motion Plus and it's a great TV.

I know what you saying but, unless you really don't want to spend over £500 ish, that's the answer.
If you can justify the £140 more, it's such, such a better picture quality and has 5 year Garauntee.

I don't know how many people know the following so I will tell you
4k Tvs make 1080p 720p and 480p pictures look worse
A 1080p image going through a 1080p panel is going to look better - all things being equal otherwise
The panel will always remain at 4k but will upscale (or stretch) a lower resolution
Because of this- you might even find that some 1080p blu rays look perceivably worse than your older tv
And 720p is going to look awful
Whilst a 1080p tv looked okay with a 720 image
Before you buy a 4k panel- ask yourself- what are you going to use it for?
Netflix 4k isn't true 4k- it's awful compressed nonsense
The xbox one s has a 4k blu ray player
The ps4 pro DOESNT have a 4k blu ray player
Even 4k blu rays are usually upscale from 2k sources-
The xbox Scorpio will be the first console to do mainly native 4k gaming- that wot be out for 10 months
The ps pro normally uses something called a "checker board " technique to fake a 4k image
It's normally just 2 1080p images stretched
Native 4k is something completely different
Opening post
Brilliant price for 55inch 4K Smart TV with HDR
