That would also suit me. Just got a PS4 Pro, so looking for a 10 bit HDR 4k TV for sensible (ish) money.

Would be nice if it's true. Not sure that I'm convinced though.

update firmware, set it up using digital foundrys settings and then see if there are any issues.

I switched off the Auto Motion Plus, which got rid of the worst of the issues from watching Freeview HD from an external box outputting at 1080p (but most content is 1080i). Full Auto is a non-starter because of the soap opera effect, but even low custom settings of Blur and Judder still left some micro stutter. Once you spot it, you can't avoid it. It was most noticeable in the opening scene from The Grand Tour being shown on Gogglebox the other week. With Auto Motion Plus off, it was perfect.

the salesman in curry's told me to stay clear of this tv and go for a Sony kd55xd8599 because of the back case coming unstuck and the motion problems. everything is as clear as mud mixed reviews, every opinion is different on the technical specifications, no word from Samsung about the concerns. I want to buy this but I'm not pulling the trigger yet.

For those that may be interested this is a best buy in "which" magazine. Only topped by the ks8000 and 9000 for large tvs.

This TV has so many issues with stuttering and juddering. Check the forums about it. Wouldn't ever buy from Currys either. Nor buy a Samsung Soundbar.

I've had a look for those issues recently, the only people that seemed to have the problem were using sky at 1080i resolution. I haven't seen a wider issue than that unless you have some info on it that you could link?
Edit - can any owners of this TV comment?

Will John Lewis price match against a code? Just ordered this with JL yesterday for £1099. I wouldn't get from currys in case I'm not happy with this TV in which case I trust JL customer service far more and they offer a refund if your not happy with your purchase. However I wouldn't say no to a price match.

It's a great TV, I bought one with the Black Friday deals, as did many others leaving the major retailers short of stock. By bumping the price when there are none to sell, they'll be able to show a bigger discount after Christmas.

It dropped in November to under that price but then went back up everywhere, not sure why.

Gratz, hope its as good as I'm hoping. I'm sure I would have got that deal if I'd seen it at the time but was recovering from surgery.. The way it goes!

Price matched.
Odd offer for a non-curved screen though:
"Save £100 on Samsung Smart Sound curved soundbars when you buy this TV"
