It really is area dependant. Vodafone is the best in my area by miles, all other networks are stuck on either edge or gprs.

Been looking for a good deal for this phone since I missed out on the black Friday deals, and this is very good. Apart from the network being Vodafone! So the wait continues.

Worst network coverage - close to the O2 network coverage which is terrible. Tell you you have coverage in your area but when you get the phone you dont... and yes you can cancel.

Vodafone is the best network in urban areas but the customer service is terrible

from my personal experience and having used Vodafone for years. Yes they were rubbish but coverage has vastly improved in the past year. EE is overrated on their coverage claim.
Customer service wise I have had really bad experiences with ALL networks.

I've been with 3 for last 8years or so and the 4g was rapid 40mb. I got the o2 black Friday deal and get 83mb at home on my edge. Crazy speeds. Was sceptical about leaving 3 tbh.

Awful customer service, I know you can be lucky or not but they were hopeless with me from day one, can't wait until my contract is up and I can leave

not taking the Mickey, but are you sure you weren't connected to your home WiFi at the time? 83mb 4G speeds seem to much for current UK network speeds

This same deal can be had for potentially £661.50 by going using Quidco and mobiles. co.uk. But obviously is a cashback deal so NOT 100% guaranteed

I wish I could give you my O2 deal - I despise this network after being stuck on it for 8 months, and regret leaving 3 every day.
I've been through the Ombudsman and I have a month to decide whether to give O2 back the phone and be released from the contract or to keep it for the remaining 16 or so months.
It sickens me to give it back because I've been paying toward ownership of the phone as well as their "service", but they just get the phone back after me paying toward it for 8 months.
I wouldn't expect to keep the phone, but an option to buy at a reduced rate would have been nice.
TLDR I'll never have another contract with O2 as long as I live - appalling service I've had.

I'm not sure what you guys are doing to need 'customer service' when it comes to a phone network provider.
I'm 43, have had countless phones, and all I need is to get a deal then haggle at the end, I've never had to call them for anything in all my life.

If you had issues with coverage you had 30 days to cancel . For me is a great network.. Good indoor coverage and never had issues travelling in London.
No issues with Cs live chat as always been resolved and been often offered goodwill credit if ever had issues.
Very good deal..

I'm not great on Vodafone either but this is a great deal. There's also a 1Gb option that works out at £614 with code
The choices for this phone as far as I can see are:
Argos ebay refurbished at £464 (which is great but doesn't work so well as a present)
Giff gaff £579 unlocked and hope to get £50 quidco
This locked to Vodafone but you're also getting 2 years of unlimited minutes and 3Gb for about £100 extra

Great deal at current prices. I'll probably wait until March or April & see what price this drops to once the s8 has come out though.
I'm fine getting a slighter older phone as the upgrades now are more or less negligible for normal usage, I've got an xperia z2 & it's perfectly fine for my needs & even at two years old rarely needs to be charged every night, usually lasting two days. I may even go for a similar specced Chinese phone to this one with a similar large battery capacity.

I posted a deal not long ago that was double the data of this (6GB) for £684.
Ended up at -7C, why is this at 200C my fellow hotukdeal members?
Maybe around that time the phone could be got for £529 (or possibly around £479 with giffgaff & quidco)
Now the cheapest I can find it is £579 from Giff gaff and £589 from Tesco Direct
(which is why I've gone for this)

I don't think so, I mentioned both of those prices with John Lewis and Giffgaff in the post I shared.

I did get a deal similar to this £25.6 a month £100 upfront 24 months contract S7 Edge 32GB with vodafone. I requested for cancelling the contract just this evening (within 30 days of purchase). Problem is I was looking for a good international bundle, but they are too costlier for that and customer care is quick to attend calls/chats, but no use(_;). When I asked them, instead of returning the handset (as I need to buy a new one anyway) about the cost of it, if I want to keep it, they said £614 and no return of my £100 upfront
