seems like a ok deal but for the real experience of amazing sound at home you should do what i done and hire a 72 piece orchestra to actually play the music live. and by placing them at strategic positions around the house the surround effect is amazing.

I managed to return my kw430 today and swap it for this 450 after paying the tenner difference. At first I thought this was going to be a mission to sort out and the guy that I spoke with at first said its an online only deal but he put it through himself without me having to spend half an hour bickering about it.
Will test this out tomorrow.
Also whats the benefit of having hdmi? I see many folk bang on about having this. Isn't optical good enough? Also is it good to have both optical and hdmi connected up to the tv or pointless?
This article explains everything but hdmi is the connection you want.

I paid 170 for my k450 other week.... still tryin to find receipt lol anyhow works great, especially paired to Samsung tv so easy an all on the one remote definitely an upgrade to the tv speakers, however! The voices are not as clear with music an turned up regardless to how I mess with the treble or equaliser settings

I bought the HW-K430 from currys a couple weeks ago when the deal was posted up here which was £129 from currys.
Unfortunately I need to arrange to send it back. The wireless sub is constantly making making a high pitched noise, hissing etc. Its very noticeable and annoying during silent moments or just when there are scenes of talking.
Anyone else had any issues with wireless subs? Should I go for a wired one or just get a replacement?

To be honest this has always been around £140-180. I had been looking at it for a few months and ended up going for the HW-K650. Never had I seen it higher than that, so it looks like Curry's might be pulling some legs here.
I think it could just be a fault with your kit. My Samsung wireless sub has no issues whatsoever.

Nope, I bought this one with my new Samsung tele a few months back and it is absolutely fab. No problem whatsoever, no strange sounds, none of that (and I have very sharp ears - am often the only one who hears beeeeeps liks you describe!). It only loses very occasionally the bluetooth connection, but it is very easy to re-connect. I have many wireless devices in my house an there is no interference either. It seems you have just bad luck (or it is a **** product and I am just very lucky....)

The staff on the webchat said it would be applied when scanned...
The staff in the Stevenage branch were dumb as usual - and scanned it in at £169, and had no idea it was on offer... So I pointed to the stack of them there, with the giant price tag...
Then eventually, one of the more competent staff, scanned the barcode to make the discounted price. 30 minutes of my life wasted, but I saved money.
