Maybe in like 10 years LOL. But when article 50 is activated you can bet your ass it's gonna plunge even more.

I don't think it's Amazon it seems everything has gone up and I think it's safe to say companies are taking advantage of Brexit and anything else they can think of as an excuse to put up prices. I guess the reality is that things got very cheap a while ago and now it's equalizing plus some extra fat for the fat cats.

Bought this for around £225 last year. Is this Amazon trying to rip us off or this is the reality of a looming Brexit

What the hell happened with SSDs? A year ago I bought 1TB ssds for £150 each, and 128gb ssds for £15 each. It's like all the prices doubled in a year. Is there a reason for this (another factory flooding?) or is there another reason?

I doubt these were £150. The Samsung Evo 850 have always been highly priced.

can one get an usb enclosure for this SSD and use it as an external usb SSD storage unit?
This thread is full of extremely shady political and financial advice.
Steer clear of the advice, the price is good for recent trends of SSDs.

Is that nand price rise just propergander tho? As the chinese are getting into the market and I think they can drive prices really low (kingspec, kingfast 'king everything)

Do you guys think SSD prices are currently rising, as I bought a few of those crucial 750gb ssd's on black friday, so if they are rising I'll hold onto em for a bit rather than selling now. Thanks

Hold on to them mate. Nand prices are rising. Wish I bought a couple more now.
My case is slightly see through on the sides but it has blue neon type lights. It's mainly just when I want to move it but cellotape is doing well at the moment haha

To be fair, unless you have a see though case or just like to be really neat, you don't need to bolt it in, it can just sit anywhere in your case - unlike a HDD, it doesn't have rotating parts so it can't be broken in the same way.

I honestly don't think it will, I think it will go back up and be back to where it was in a couple years time. Guess we will have to wait and see.

Ye it works perfectly but I didn't have time to try anything so I cellotaped it on top of my HDD

If the government hurry the F*** up and get out the EU then the pound will go back up and become stronger. Then we can have cheap stuff.....

Ye, I've been checking prices a lot. I went for a refurbished 500gb evo 850 for £98 and it works perfectly. Unfortunately I managed to snap 2 screws in the screw slots :disappointed:

any advice on the best usb SSD enclose?
Something like this would be better.
