Samsung UE55KS7000 down to £849 with code TV50. Excellent TV I bought the 60inch on black friday but this is even cheaper than it was then! Unfortunately looks to be sold out on John Lewis and Richer sounds!
Available for home delivery. Low stock in stores.
Its a 8 bit panel that can display 10 bit, confirmed by richersounds

Just a little update. I got a little bonus with Quidco paying out after getting in touch with them. Just around 10% of the purchase price. Took around 4 months. Did anyone else get the cashback?

No where seems to have stock at this price and RS have it in stock bit for considerably more now
So I got the 49" today, and maybe I'm easily impressed, but it looks fantastic. I may still mess about with the settings but after watching a few videos it looks great. I will mainly use it as a PC monitor, and I think under editing device type, I've set it under "Blu-ray player" in order to change the special mode to "Game." I've used the rtings settings and seems good so far. I couldn't get the 55" because of space restriction.

The main differences are the Micro dimming which results in less halo and clouding and the motion handling. Whether that is worth an extra £500+, I couldn't say. Factor in the free UHD player with the KS8000 (£200ish) plus the £50 off at RS and the KS8000 is £1100. Still more, but it is in stock most places and from the reviews I have read it does handle HDR better than the KS7000 due to the better dimming

So glad i ordered this on Boxing Day, its out of stock everywhere now..
JL just refunded me £50.00 so very pleased, with the price.
Also in regards to 8 bit panel, its been confirmed by Samsung to a AVForums Journalist that IT IS Pure 10bit and not 8 bit or 8+2 or 8+frc it is 10 Bit.
It cannot carry the Ultra HD Premium if it isn't 10bit.

Just got the 49 version from Richer Sounds for £789 ... I was going to wait for a further price drop but you have to bite at some point.
I originally ordered from Currys but cancelled due to their poor after sales care and previous issues with them.
The Richer Sounds video review says 10bit panel and so do many other sources but I've also seen some say it's 8 bit ... but definitely 10 bit.

spritey to conorw78
30 Dec 161#42
Yes they come with this stand - basically two legs which you put on the bottom of either side.
CES 2017 will most likely equate to a price drop. I'm waiting for the 49" to drop a little further.
I have to say though, I'm a little concerned by the motion judder on 1080i sources, or old non HD tv. I checked it in JL and it's definitely visible. I think once you've seen it, you can't unsee it! :/
spritey to jonboyuk
31 Dec 16#50
Definitely think the 49" can drop more - not sure how much we'll see the KS7000 drop, won't be as significant as the drops it's had (£1500 to £849 from launch what, 5/6 months ago?). Mainly as they've got lots of other TVs below this range occupying further price ranges. Perhaps £700-£800 before the completely discontinue the 55" model.
I do wonder how long it'll be until we see 4000 nits units with FALD. Although i think HDR10 and 1000nits is gonna be the standard for a long time.

This TV has virtually sold out with all retailers now so it's a bit of a wait if you want one. Richer Sounds told me no stock until late January but if you order now they will honour the price when it arrives. Worth a price beat on the Currys deal?

RS won't price match JL or Currys due to RS warranty being 6yrs...
personally I'd still pay the extra and buy from RS knowing that the warranty will be hassle free unlike the ball ache the currys warranty would be If ever you needed to use it.
remember RS warranty on TV's over 32" is in home repair...no lugging it back to store etc...

Really ? , First I've heard. The extra cashback offers are applied once the transaction is confirmed but you already know this , right ?
Also , this does not qualify for Quidco cashback due to the use of the voucher but there maybe a small chance in getting it so worth a go. Just don't rely on it paying out as you were not entitled to it anyway ... a bonus if it does though

On Quidco Terms & Conditions it says "Cashback will not be paid in conjunction with any other offer, voucher or discount code unless listed on this page, or with any other discounts such as staff or student discounts" so if it means the TV50 code on Currys website then maybe not because TV50 is not listed on the Quidco Currys webpage. I asked Currys online chat about the 11% Quidco cashback rate and they were non-committal saying it was already a very good price and to check Quidco's T&Cs. So who knows but Topcashback has 9.9% Currys cashback too with no other vouch code restriction I can see.
