Seems like a great deal at this moment in time as it's around £600 everywhere. Use a 10% off code TVS10 to bring the price down.

I'm still waiting for the price to hit below £500 with somewhat extended warranty included. HELL I'll take it even if it come with just 1 year standard warranty. £40 isn't a lot different but because Boxing Day and January sales are just a week away. Must hold off until then... must resist!!! :disappointed:

so £539.00 no warranty from Argo's or £599.00 from RS with 6 years warranty? that's the question
I have the 50 inch model from currys for around £400 (10% off for Mis advertising) on Black Friday, and a pending possible £75 cash back from Quidco. Here is what I think:
Pros:
1. Good picture, good colour, great for movie
2. Slim, solid and expensive feel, looks v good in general
3. Decent smart system, noticeable faster than my Sony android tv (49X8005C)
4. Decent sound
Cons:
1. No Bluetooth at all, what the hell
2. HDMI HDR Colour can only be enable on HDMI 1
3. Motion lag, I played uncharted 4 On PS4 PRO with the new In game HDR option enable, Very noticeable lag, especially when Nathan use the rope swing, swings left and right, u will see how bad it is. Switched to game mode or disabling the HDR, made just tiny a bit better but still quite bad motion lag. Things just don't feel right when objection is moving fast In game, it's a deal breaker for me if they don't honour the £75 cash back
4. The YouTube app keeps signing me off which is quite annoying, I have seen others reported the same issue
5. 60 refresh rate, i used it as my pc monitor, would be great if it was 120

This exactly! bought the 55 inch from John Lewis on black Friday and they price matched me at £529. Was very lucky with that price. it's still a great TV for the price.
However I was disappointed when I realised there was no Bluetooth, and the problem with the YouTube app is very annoying I don't even use the app anymore.
Motion lag is noticeable too, anything moving too fast on the screen is effected.
These are things I never saw anyone talk about before I bought it so thank you for mentioning it here!

I got the 55 inch model via Flubit when they had the 11% cashback offer around Black Friday. Cashback tracked at £75 (closer to 14%) and the Flubit deal price was just under £550 so it cost slightly above £470 which is a great price for the 55 inch.

Can you explain how you got 10% off of the currys 50inch? I bought the same one and would like to get it.
I have not notice any poor motion and/or judder... and also I think it does a pretty good job at upscaling to near 4K definition.

considering a 4k one with far better spec is just £100 more. Hukd helping the big boys get rid of their old stock again.

Posts like this are incredibly unhelpful and annoying. If you're going to make a claim like that you need to back it up with evidence, otherwise you just seem like you're stirring it.

I have the 50" model and would not recommend it :disappointed: very poor motion and judder no matter what settings you use, The picture quality is excellent and long as it's not a fast moving image.

Was tempted by Panasonic which looked better on paper but read several reviews which mentioned poor viewing angle - pretty shocked when I actually saw one...

Do richer sounds price match Argos?
si7verwolf to ljstrawson
14 Dec 16#21
I think they only match if the item is in stock and comes with the same guarantee... prob explains why they offer a 6 year guarantee!
Dread to think how much extra Argos would charge for a 6 year guarantee - better to just buy a spare...
Good find OP - love our Samsung telly

Have been put off samsung due to their dodgy ad policy. They pulled the old apps like netflix etc from certain smart tv's and the only way you can get them back is to upgrade the firmware and agree to samsung being able to display ads to your TV when ever they like.

My problem is 50 inch was on sale for £450 at Currys a month ago (which I bought) however was able to get a further 10% partial refund due to incorrect description on Currys website about having Voice control/Smart remote/Bluetooth so the TV basically costing me £400 for 50 inch! (A lot of HUKD members who were following the original posted deal were able to get the partial refund)
If I knew It would end up costing me £400 I would of bought 2 because now I need another TV and I just don't know how I feel about paying £140 more for just extra 5 inches, (which I don't really need) I'm not that desperate for 5 extra inches
If however It came with 5 John Lewis or 6 year Richer sounds warranty for this exact price I would of clicked buy
Granted not currently available at £549 but I find once a TV finds a low point like these Samsungs over the Black Friday weekend within a few weeks they will be back there, just need to inflate the price for a while to make it look like a real bargain when they drop the price back down after Christmas, its inevitable.
