Thanks, I managed to get it for £320 from Flubit through SuperFi and they had good reviews so I thought I'd try it.

I think I got mine for about £270 but only because Flubit got the price down to £299 and it was a couple of weekends ago when Quidco were doing 10% cashback on ALL Flubit purchases :smile:

An ok TV but you need to really understand what your going to be using the TV for before you pull the trigger, it's not a great amount of money so it's a compromise, but for me even at this price it's the refresh rate that makes it a no buy, it's only 60Hz which makes it not suitable for sports or fast moving action, certain console games will also suffer, my 8 year old Panasonic even has 100Hz refresh so this would be a step backwards in certain areas that are key for me when choosing a new TV

I bought this TV for the bedroom from Tesco and for £300 to replace a 9 year old 32" Samsung. For the price I have absolutely no complaints. Didn't realise it has Bluetooth?

I watch rubbish like Corrie so refresh rates and input lags etc aren't high on my list as I'm only looking at Gail Platt's gish.

​Game consoles often drop below 60Hz in demanding games, so if your game starts to stutter it is typically a result of the low frame rate of the game. No TV can do anything about it. The picture quality only gets as good as the source allows. And oh yeah, do not get fooled by the manufacturers’ claims of “800 Hz” or “1000 Hz”. These numbers have almost nothing to do with the real Hz of panel. Also anyone who knows anything about TV's for gaming know that low input lag is the key to a good gaming TV.

People conflate and misunderstand TV specs, I think, but there's little wonder given the complexity and lack of standardisation. A "refresh rate" isn't really a refresh rate - in fact no LCD panels really "refresh" as CRTs used to. A lot of the time, TVs state very high values in Hz which usually represents the max level it can interpolate frames at. Even the value you select from your PC in Hz (typically 60) isn't a refresh rate - it's just how many times the framebuffer in your graphics subsystem flushes per second...the TV is just left to deal with it. What's more - not all the pixels achieve their desired state at the same time (e.g. moving a pixel from black-white-black takes longer than grey-white-grey) special technologies like overdrive compensate for it, but response times (measured in ms) are the true measure of whether stuff "ghosts" or not. Manufactureres usually quote the lowest response time (GTG) and anything 10ms and under will look fine in terms of ghosting.

I dont get it why haven't they turned off auto motion plus = no judder problems.

A month!Samsung support is absolutely rubbish and customer service does not exist!

I have the 50 inch model and I have to say I'm yet to find this "Bluetooth" feature on this TV. Also no voice recognition, no smart remote control just standard one. Complained to currys and was able to get 10% back. Happy days :sunglasses:

Got the 50" model of this on Black Friday. Really impressed by it so far. flamedeer too. Ta :smiley:

This will suffer from what i've grown to call the 'Argos Syndrome' which basically means if you can find it in stock, anywhere, within 100 miles, then you are extremely lucky or the very first person to the deal. You would think for a catalogue shop they would be warehousing these things by the ton. I used to work at Argos when I was a student and at my local store we used to stock like 50 of everything, granted it's been a few years so that's likely changed by now.
