I've bought 3 of these USB FIT sticks over the last year and have not had any issue with any of them... I use them to store music in my cars and on a music server (Raspberry Pi).
The write speed, even with a USB3 connection, is relatively slow (below 20 MB/s), but this isn't a big issue for my applications.

Apparently even though they are fast they seem to overheat too fast and too much enough to burn your fingers, from what I read on Amazon reviews. XD heat added though(no irony hahah)

I think all USB stick get hot if you permanently in. I know being this small they almost deserved to be permanently plugged in, if you only put them in and out when in use they are fine. I've had mine for a couple of years and never had any real

These are the best in the market if you don't mind paying a little extra.

No overheating with the one I've been using for 9 months and just ordered another. The low profiles curved designs allows you to leave them connected all the time.

Probably another 20 years after the spectrum for that capacity!

Isn't it amazing how small high capacity USB drives are now.
Just 5 years a go they were sizeable things.

I have used one of these on my mac book pro for the time machine function and never had a problem with it overheating. It's plugged in permanently and you would hardly know it's there.
