not exactly a deal but I've noticed people are still posting topcashback but if quidco are doubling the difference surely you get a better deal on cashback opportunities using quidco.

Quidco customer service is a joke, claims are refused. I mostly use topcashback now.. even if quidco pay a little extra I dont bother.
I also find the tracking on quidco can be a pain.. had a few claims with topcashback and in the end its been paid.

TCB are usually faster and more reliable when it comes to claims etc.
Quidco and HUKD are owned by same people so I won't say what I want to say about quidco customer service lol.

TCB also beat cashback if you find it better anywhere else. Wonder if they will match this

Would be a start if they stopped promoting merchants who don't pay cashback in the first place without having to drum up ideas like this. Like merchants never pulled a fast one even when you followed the correct process of cashback transaction.
I've actually spent less with TCB/QC for my household annual services due to non-payment of cashbacks & go direct instead most of the time.
I remember when TCB removed the members forum due to increase of disputed non-payments of cashbacks from various merchants. I'm sure other TCB members who have been fobbed off will agree here.

I did wonder what happened to the forum.. I never had many issues with TCB but Quidco had a few over the years.

the problem with quidco is, lately 50% off transactions aren't even tracking, let alone being able to apply this deal.

Just wait for that £10 offer when members will notice that they wont get it.

Jesus, shopping is complicated now. Not only do you have to look for the best price at each retailer and possibly try and price match that way, you also have to try and price match your cashback!
Common Sense to jono8

There should not be a need for Quidco/TCB. Suppliers should lower their prices instead of inflating them for cashback sites.

Haha, true, but having price competition sure beats the old days of having to traipse down to a high street and pay full RRP from the one store selling the item.
Cashback is pretty much getting paid some of a firm's advertising budget. Quidco / TCB are forwarding to you the click-through sale revenue share that retailers pay to other sites that feature their advertising banners. Before, that money would probably be spent on the likes of ads in newspapers. It's a useful niche for savvy shoppers, as well as a tool for retailers who can price discriminate by offering lower prices to price-conscious consumers while not having to reduce headline prices to the general market.
70%+ of households are on standard energy tariffs. The majority of people don't value the potential savings enough to invest the time to find and take advantage of deals.

Used the cashback guarantee on RAC to match (and beat topcashbacks offer). Never had a problem with Quidco for the 6-7 years I've used them, and had very little issues. Usually they will payout once you chase them to outstanding amounts so I would tend to blame the retailers rather than the site itself.
In the end, retailers will price their products to make the most profit from all the lazy shoppers and cashback is a way to accept less from the more canny ones but keeping their custom.

Did they add double the difference and quickly?
I'm looking at an insurance deal right now and was thinking of this. Topcashback is much higher, so could be an earner.

I had mine doubled quickly last week....but you don't get anything until the merchant confirms the purchase...could be months. Its just that the claim for double was confirmed.

I've recently switched back to quidco, and couldn't believe it when I saw this just the other week. They doubled the difference on topcashback for argos who were offering 10% cashback at the time. Giving me almost 20% cashback on a purchase - provided argos actually pay out.
Note I switched back before seeing the deal. I'm most impressed thus far. Now I just need to downgrade my topcashback before the end of the year.

Make sure you take screenshots of the rates at Quidco and TCB as well if you do this.
I had one where they waited so long to look at "highest cashback claim" that TCB had changed their rates in the meantime, and then Quidco denied my claim saying the rate was wrong...despite saying they keep historical records of other sites.

Always seemed to happen in the past whenever I had somewhat larger cashbacks. I submitted a claim and Quidco came back with the usual excuse saying that the merchant had replied stating the click-through had been attributed to another agent.
That is not possible since I always make such purchases through a new incognito tab, but when I asked them who the cashback/commission was paid to they said they couldn't tell me because of data protection rules.
OK! So some person/company had nicked my cashback by stating they had referred me and I'm not allowed to know who it was who had supposedly referred my sale? Laughable!

Topcashback rubbish never tracks although cleared cookies before clicking the deal to go through and it always shows lower amount than advertised when you put a missing claim in.....should be a system where you can check the cookies to see if quidco or topcashback or any other referer.

So how does this work if tcb have an exclusive offer on a particular product at 10% but quidco would track on a general purchase for 1%? Would quidco then offer 19%?

Yes = provided you purchased the particular product
