Not impressed with my one, poor sound only rescued by line in output. Not enough preset memories, fiddly effort for controls. This one has the battery though!

Wonder if these Series II, Pure One Classics, end up with the soft touch plastic degrading and turning into a sticky tar like surface..... Like the Series I did.
Anyone experienced this ?

My old Kenwood mini HiFi did that, I wasn't best pleased as it was a great bit of kit until that happened.

I've had this happen to various items now with this crappy soft touch plastic...... i wont buy anything made from this now.
But it also happened to my Pure One Classic, which then also locked up, which was another common prob with the Pure One Classic S1.

oohhh, ordered the kitsound jive deal last night...should I have gone for this instead for £20 more??
I'd say the Pure One Classic is a better deal...... it'll sound better, has DAB+ and comes with chargepack.
As long as it doesn't suffer with the common probs the Series 1 did. Best research that.

It is a decent radio made much better by the (Lithium battery) ChargePak.
Good price, hot deal.
Its not so much a question of do I want a second one. It is just the white that gives me concern.

Did you have the S1 or the S2 Pure One Classic that this happened to ?
Also, did you complain to Pure about it ?
I complained, but Pure didn't want to know cos it was outside the 2 yr warranty.

Pure One Elite just checked ...didn't complain, pretty sure I've had it more than 2 years
