Seems like a decent watch from Pulsar (a Seiko brand) with excellent reviews. I think you also get £5 voucher so effectively making it £59.99.

Do you just comment this on everything?
I saw your same comment on the Moss Bros suit thread.
How about you stop with the snooty 'I look down on those people who don't buy Gucci suits, and wear Rolex watches'. It's not funny, and just damn right offensive to most.

Anyone know if the bracelet is folded steel or solid?

I don't know the difference between two  To resize you need to take some bits out, if that helps.

Very true. I love my Casio tough solars, just grab and go. My auto tag hardly sees daylight and the **** cost me £350 to service! How many decent gshocks I could've bought with that :disappointed:

There is no great advantage either way. It's all down to personal preference and what fits in with your lifestyle. You have to wear an automatic regularly (or invest in a winder) to keep it wound, but there is no battery to run out. As a general rule, automatics are more expensive to make, are less accurate and less reliable than quartz, and they need more maintenance. I have both and whilst I can appreciate the precision engineering that goes into a well made mechanical movement, my automatics get very little wrist time as I prefer the grab-and-go convenience of quartz. My favourite is solar powered quartz - the best of both worlds. I suspect my views may well change after I retire and I have more time to 'fiddle' with my watches.

Silly question, but I'm genuinely curious: in terms of user experience, what makes an automatic better, never having owned one? Are they more accurate? With the car example, a 3-4 year old good car is going to be more powerful, more comfortable, more reliable, probably safer etc. than a brand new no-name plastic ecobox - so what are the equivalent benefits of the automatic vs. quartz?

Just like you can buy a 3-4yr old good car for the price of plasticky and slow ecobox, you can get a decent automatic watch for not much more than quartz. They start from £100, there are even some Seiko models for £50-60..

Quartz, no thanks.

There's nothing wrong with Quartz. I'm assuming you drive a decent car and not a bog standard one, because = no thanks.

looks better in real life.
quite heavy but it is a large solid watch.
