Overwatch is boring. It doesn't matter how many people play it and how long it will be supported if the gameplay is boring. Titanfall 2 is the better game.

Better than Halo now for sure. Halo 5 was a joke, the campaign lol should be called Halo 5: Guardians Battle of Eternal Warden. The amount of Eternal Wardens battle was shocking lol
Titanfall 2 campaign hands down the best this generation for FPS. Put's shame on COD, Battlefield and craps on Halo any day.

Fair point but Overwatch has been heaped with almost universal critical praise, has a massive fanbase that loves it, huge followings on reddit,twitch etc and has enough depth that it's being built up as an esport. All of which will see it last a long time.
Anyway back to actual deal at hand. Titanfall 2 is worth getting but it's been cheaper and will almost certainly be cheaper again in a couple of weeks given it's situation.

Trust me you'll love it. Campaign is very good and innovative, I won't spoil it but one level will just amaze you and multiplayer is very addictive with the best hit detection and smooth gameplay with a solid 60fps at all times. I haven't played anything else since I bought it.

Playerbase is growing now its getting good word of mouth. It averages around 15-20 thousand people playing on PS4 and the game will have legs because the game is brilliant. Only issue I have is the game needs more maps but the maps it does have are all good. Honestly you won't regret buying this gem of a game. Best fps game I ever played.

Bought this in store earlier, anyone else buy a "new" game from Smyth's and find it opened? It was out of the shrink wrap and had a sticker along the opening of the case, looked like a return or second hand copy, asked if they had any sealed and the girl serving me rudely ran her finger along a sticker and said there's the seal? Not exactly what I meant tho!

:smile: I used to play CoD, a lot. But it got boring unfortunately, fast. I loved MW2 and WaW, but after those, it quickly became apparent how repetitive it was becoming. I moved on and spent all my gaming time with Bad Company 2, a game I'm sure many will find hard to disagree had the best multiplayer experience ever. After that it was Battlefield, but TF2 definitely has my attention over BF1. And that is saying something, because EA/Dice gave us something we'd been begging Activision for since World at War :smiley:

It won't be detailed because I'm mobile. But, seriously. Titanfall 2 is amazing. I have Battlefield 1 (not Infinite Warfare, because I haven't played a CoD game since BLOPS) but TF2 has so much more of my attention. It's everything I loved about TF1 but better. Admittedly TF1 lost its player base fast, but it wasn't justified, it was a great game. TF2 is fast, it's fluid and it does what CoD has tried to do for years, but a million times better.
The SP is a bit shallow, but it's playable. The MP is where Its at,i could keep telling you how awesome it is over and over again, but you need to see it for yourself. Don't get me wrong, it frustrates me that the player count per match (8 vs :sunglasses: is lower than I'd have liked, but it's my must play MP game for 2016 :smiley:

I'm still trying to figure out how I bought IW Legacy edition (admittedly because it was £40 from Argos) and still don't own Battlefield 1 or this game. I must have bumped my head at some point.
I liked the beta, but someone sum up for me how the multiplayer plays, how populated it is, how many decent maps etc? I can look online but tbh the only decent opinion I've trusted so far on this game is Rob on PS Access saying you must play this. That got my attention more than IGN ever would!
Any replies appreciated!

If you don't like the gameplay then obviously not :smiley: However many people do as evidenced by sales and player count. Personally I find it has deeper gameplay ,tactics and teamplay. Titanfall is more a free for all. Overwatch has been a massive hit. 4 years from now Blizzard will still be releasing content for Overwatch when Titanfall 2 is long dead.
Doom had the best fps campaign this year. Titanfall 2 was close and the multiplayer is fun, it's worth picking up on sale.

How is Overwatch better value? That game doesn't even have a single player campaign and I played that during the free weekends on PS4 and bored me to tears. That game is a free to play game while being charged full price.
With Titanfall 2 your getting the best fps campaign and the best multiplayer in one game.

Sure it's a good game and all the dlc will be free(the new Angel City map is great). Not worth paying over the odds though it's not like sales are gonna change dramatically at this point. Overwatch is still better value for money.
Whether or not it gets a third will probably depend on how much people spend on cosmetics as that is where a lot of the money is these days.

This game deserves the sales. Its the best shooter I have ever played and pure satisfying gameplay. I honestly recommend to just buy it as its easily worth even full price. It will be very sad if we don't get a third Titanfall game.

Agreed. Don't let the beta put you off either if you played that and, like myself, thought it played nothing like Titan fall. Jumped on the free weekend and loved it...far better than the beta showed, actually felt like Titan fall.
