Thanks for the reply with a good insight
I may hold off for a while.
I see its £25 on Amazon. But for this type of game I would prefer digital as easier to just fire up for a few matches.
I know it sounds lazy. Just prefer digital to discs as rarely sell games anyhow and like the convinience

For a new player. Who in a line up of 10 players probably would rank about 9th place for online shooters.
How hard is the learning curve?
What is the addiction to keep playing? Is it unlocking new skins?
I enjoy Destiny as it has that random prize feel to it. How does this compare?
I'm tempted but being below average player and a year late to the game, don't wish it to just make me feel frustrated.
How fun is it?
Thanks in advance

It's fun if your in a decent coordinated team who knows what they are doing. If not you will get completely decimated in a matter of minutes.
The only thing you unlock is skins, sprays, voice lines and victory poses which seems a bit weak at first. There are no weapons or abilities to unlock but there are so many characters to choose from that it keeps fresh for a while.
I love destiny because you play for a couple of hours and you'll get rewarded with all sorts of goodies, keeps you hooked. The shooting in Destiny has a nice satisfying feel to it, overwatch is very lightweight and floaty in comparison. I find that a couple of matches of Overwatch is enough for me.
Oh, and the major frustration is the time it takes to matchmake. You can be sitting there for minutes waiting to get into a game. Don't know why this is the case with so many players.

That's weird cause it is extremely well optimized on PC, a mate runs it on a 4 year old laptop, it looks like a damn game boy game but it runs smoothly.

It's already been out since Tuesday in America so we have a pretty good idea already of it. There's been plenty of reviews by players.

I'm not actually sure what that's even meant to mean. I'm not having a direct go at The Last Guardian as it's quite evident I haven't even played it yet. But my point is, that for a game that has been in development for so long that expectations are extremely high, much so as they were with No Man's Sky, it (along with NMS) is one of the most anticipated games of this generation, and let's be honest, it doesn't take gamers long to turn their backs on anything these days.
TechRadar are claiming that The Last Guardian is around 6 months off from being a perfect game, the issues with framerate on the PlayStation 4 (original & Pro) have been brought up many times with the game frequently dropping to below 30fps. It has also been stated that the controls are a nightmare and the camera angles are dire.
Tell me, do you honestly not think that those issues alone are not going to be enough for gamers to have something to moan about? because I do.
Although, it could possibly pull off a TLOU (1) and be a fantastic story line with mediocre gameplay, that alone has proved that it's enough to drag a game to where it wanted to be.

No, it wasn't. Reviews were mixed and gamers hated it from day one. Let's be honest, The Last Guardian is such an easy target the fact fans and critics aren't ripping it a new one probably shows its atleast pretty good.

I'm pretty sure NMS was also considered a great game until 8 hours after its release, too.

I might just hold off from buying TLG then. I'll wait until everything is safe.

If TLG goes the same way as NMS, as we all kind of think it will, it's not going to look too good for Sony. Their two most highly anticipated titles (this generation) will have rapidly transformed into terrible failures.

Wouldn't suprise me if Sony rushed the announcement of TLOU2, purposly getting the news out 4 days before the release of The Last Guardian to keep that PlayStation carrot dangling for a while longer

Haha, according to 'The Know', they reckon the delays were due to the current console (PS3 at the time of announcement) was unable to handle the game. Seems it should've been a PS5 launch title
